I wonder how quickly CT could perform an entire store physical inventory account? The drug use is rumor at this point. Maybe he was on disability or welfare. Maybe they lived in a subsidized building, rent is cheaper in their sketchy area. Free or discount TH food, their clothing is dated...

Calling patrons by first name is very common. Tim Horton's copied Starbucks CS style of taking your name when they make your order. I was thinking the same thing. Just popped in to post the same article that fromGermany posted above...

That's an old picture of CM. His hair is grown in (see the couples selfie). Interesting analysis though.

In the polices' defense, they probably legally cannot say it's CM because they could not clearly identify the suspect. Thimk about the outcome, if it wasn't CM - might be enough "evidence" to cause "reseasonable doubt" and botch up the case. Being over-cautious with phrasing isn't a bad thing...

I was picturing the getaway car as a sedan or pickup. Wow, that truck is serious business.

They had three days lead and it doesn't take three days to drive that distance. So, they could've subwayed to downtown, jumped a bus going north then hitchhiked. The stolen car idea is very plausible, good job!

I'm not an expert in this area, but I bet the suspect is no match for police gear. I'm guessing he's going to try to sneak out in the middle of the night.

Totally.... unless the suspect has access to substances to keep him awake. So far, the suspect seems to act in the late late night/ early morning.

Good point (re: someone outside waiting) He may not be a sophisicated crinimal, but he does have extensive gaming experience. Better to be over-prepared then not prepared at all. Plus, the LE have already invested quite a bit of resources and manpower on this hunt - why stop now.

Thanks for the update. Why are they posting on FB, Twitter when they distinctly asked people not to post about the live sitch? Maybe they cut off the store's internet access.

He's more resourceful then people think. I wouldn't be surprised that he stole it from somewhere/ someone else. CM is well known with NB police for violent crimes...

http://www.baytoday.ca/content/news/details.asp?c=80002 ^ great little article mentions that the suspect broke into CT at 4:30pm. Talk about full circle. I agree that he's controlling (SC's father mentioned that CM controlled her phoneand computer use), but I don't think he'd kill her. I think...

I hope they paid for those snacks! Are there other shoppers and staff in the store? Do the suspects know about the police outside?

Interesting. "highly suspect suspects" - I like that phrase. I have a feeling Ontario's B&C work alone and it's definitely them not someone aiding them.

Live coverage of the armed standoff at Canadian Tire in Timmins? Can someone write out what's going on? My video function is defunct (my toddler disabled Youtube on my ipad and I can't watch videos, haha). I'm not "technologically sophisicated". ;)

I concur with this timeline. What soccer games run past 11pm? 10:15pm was the time his soccer buddies stated he left, 11:20pm is "last seen", which could be parkinglot/ atm footage. Personally, I find that media relying on social media tend to be less thorough fact-checkers. So much news is...
