The Air Show - Boeing’s unforced error
One of the hosts of this podcast attended the media event that got Boeing in trouble with the NTSB. He recorded part of a briefing by Boeing Senior V.P. of Quality, Elizabeth Lund. There is some interesting info about the door plug.
In this case, I think it all comes out about the same. I think a normal person would have taken a plea. RG dragged this out (and prolonged the Iskander's pain) and didn’t get much for her money and effort. I don't think this judge would have given anyone a harsher sentence. While it’s not nearly...
I’m very sorry for your loss.
I agree taking responsibility early on could have resulted in a lighter sentence. Instead, she’s dragged this out and made it harder on everyone involved.
I think the letter to the Iskander family is harassment. RG is such a toxic person. She has no shame.
I agree with you. He obviously had a positive relationship with TC. I assumed he was giving him legal advice. I certainly wouldn’t abandon a friend over rumors and suspicion. Once he was arrested, and I saw the evidence, I would reevaluate.
U.S. airlines, fed up forced change in the Boeing C-suite
The CEOs of American, United, Alaska, and Southwest airlines skipped the Boeing CEO and went directly to the board of directors to request a meeting about Boeing’s future. They are the biggest Boeing operators in the U.S. It’s an...
'We need someone to fix Boeing.' Here's who could replace Calhoun as the troubled plane maker's CEO
The Boeing CEO is stepping down at the end of the year.
MOO, maybe they should go outside their board of directors this time.
The NTSB said Boeing isn’t cooperating with their investigation. They won’t (or can’t) submit the names of the people who worked on the door plug. I thought this required documentation?

Not at all! I always walk my guests out!
I don’t believe it happened this way, but it’s possible there is some mundane reason the guy living in the house didn’t see the victims leave. We don’t know how many people he had over, do we? He could have had a big group, etc. Two days go by with...
Yes! He doesn’t hear the fiancee breaking in and calling out to him, but comes out with a drink when the police show up. Lots of mental gymnastics to explain away all the red flags.
Sure, he could have been angry. I’ve been angry at my drunk friends before. I‘ve gotten calls and/or texts from the friends‘ family members when they were a couple of hours later than expect. Two days is a stretch. They’ve been friends for years. If three of my friends were missing, I certainly...
