I am so very, very sad to hear the news about deugirtni. My most sincere condolences to all of her loved ones. She was such a dedicated and very valued member at Websleuths and she will be missed by everyone here. We miss you already, dear deugirtni. Rest in Peace

Similar to editing posts ... if members were allowed to delete a post because they changed their mind or whenever they felt like it, there could be umpteen responses (and responses to those responses) over pages and weeks of discussion that would then be out of context. Other members don't...
