Device could have been unplugged at the Kwiktrip due to paranoia over police tracking her. She could then drive off and go down a ravine 100 miles away. Once we assume the device was unplugged due to the traffic stop, anything becomes possible after that.

She wrote a lot about how much she loved being a stripper. The numbers I gave are her numbers, not mine. She complained on twitter on Jan 6 that she paid the club $200 and only got $20 back. She sort of did, anyway. Her tumblr: https://tumblr.com/dashboard/blog/plantqueen23 (you do need a...

She had an iPhone 6 Plus. Not waterproof. Besides, high frequency radio waves do not travel through water very well. I highly doubt that even a waterproof phone would connect underwater.

That's an interesting theory. I wonder how accurate that GPS thingy is? And did it specifically transmit that it was being unplugged? The reason I ask is because: is it possible she was near her destination and pulled into some underground parking? That could also potentially prevent the device...

Thanks for clarifying, as I was a little confused about the stripper/server discrepancy. So stripper and server are the same job at these places. That explains why she has never talked about being a server but all her associates called her a server.

I do think it was her main job. She talked about it a lot on tumblr and twitter. Said she averaged $250-$300 per night. She also said, though, that the amount of money was extremely variable, making anywhere from $1000 down to losing money on any given night. There's a tweet where she complains...

in response to that cam site link... Toni wrote about trying camming in her tumblr. She said she tried it for about a week but quit. In her opinion it was too much risk for not enough money. When asked later, she said she doubted she would try it again. What 'risk' she was talking about is not...

You misread my point #2. "tell her mom she's okay." I wasn't saying she would tell her mom she's a CI. Why would she not contact her mom and let her know she's okay?

I have some serious problems with the CI theory: - First of all, she was presumably prosecuted in Wichita. How does she end up being a CI in Kansas City, 200 miles away? Makes no sense. - Secondly, if this was her motive for disappearing, why not tell her mom she's okay? - Third, what is wrong...

Well, let's think about this... does it make sense that Toni, after being pulled over and given a warning (whew!), would make a major life decision and decide to run away or commit suicide? No, it does not. So why did she remove the tracking device, then? The best reason I can think of is that...

I asked the same question just 10 posts ago (or so) and have just realized that they had to change the time. Family bank records showed the card was declined at 4:33. Since the officer's story is that she or he sent Toni to the QuikTrip where the card was declined, they had to change the time...

That's pretty much what I said in my first post on this case. At the very least by now they would have locating information from cell towers. I find myself wondering where this information about 9:30 came from and if it is valid. One thing I have found very frustrating is the complete lack of...

Yeah, and given that she is reported to have received a text or a call at 4:53, police should have an idea what area she was in at that time, via cell towers. They may even have further pings after that. A perfect example of conflicting reports, by the way. Most news organizations say it was a...

Apparently, some of them beep to complain about hard(er) braking, so that would be pretty obvious. The thing is, the last reported position was the gas station, and she was seen driving off alone. So she had to be the one who unplugged it.

You do need the actual phone for this, though: "Investigators are doing a data dump of information from her cell phone in hopes of getting a better idea of who she was communicating with and where she was when the phone's battery died." (source) Perhaps you're right, though, and the article...

The tracker plugs into the service connector that all cars have, called OBD-II. It is usually in the area under the instrument cluster. Not very visible.

I'm reading that police are asking friends and family not to provide information to the media. They always do this! They like to keep most of the information to themselves, unless absolutely necessary to release it. Let's keep in mind, the video we saw of the traffic stop was sussed out by a...

From the article: That's not what she texted. It was "OMG just just pulled over again" It's rare to get pulled over by a fake cop. It would be a million to one shot to get pulled over by a fake cop minutes after being pulled over by a real cop. Also, a fake cop wouldn't operate anywhere near...

I'm baffled by this as well. Perhaps they know it was connected because texts weren't bouncing or something like that, but LE was/is still in the process of getting the cell tower info. It can take a few days. Seems to me they would have it by now, though, but they don't share everything they...

The guy in that article is just plain wrong. Airplane mode shuts down the radios in your phone, to prevent interference with airplane electonics. Period. There's no way to ping any towers. And if you manually enable wi-fi while in airplane mode, then that's an over-ride, and you're not really...
