So, one person wouldn't have been so polite to clean Cassidy up and lock up the door behind them, but two people would have? I would think that if there were two, while one was cleaning up Cassidy the other would have had time to take more than just jewelry.
So the killer may have knocked on the front door and pushed their way in, then had Michelle go upstairs and get into bed before attempting to strangle her, then beat her to death, cleaned up Cassidy, and took only some jewelry? No cash from her purse? Nothing else? :floorlaugh:
If she felt that way, then logically, all the doors except the one she came out would have been locked for security reasons. You have to realize that with the brutality of the killing, and the fact that the killer obviously cleaned up Cassidy, that it had to be someone who cared for Cassidy and...
I find it doubtful that Michelle would have left any doors, or windows for that matter, unlocked with Jason out of town and her alone with a small child. With all the talk previously about the trailer park behind them, it's not a logical consideration.
Meredith testified earlier that Linda would sometimes stay with her in Fuquay, so she would not have been staying at Birchleaf every week, even if she was in town. She also testified that Linda wanted to sometimes take the children back to her beach house.
Very familiar, this is where he grew up. Someone mentioned long ago that this was not the most direct route to the coffee shop from his mother's home. Maybe most scenic?
ETA: I see RPD already addressed the fact that he took the "long way" to the coffee shop.
I'm sorry you didn't realize I was referring to the loss of the first UNBORN child, since the discussion is about the "accident" (Cassidy was not in the car). As for wishful thinking, I think there's a lot of that going on surrounding this trial. ;)
There were only two other accidents in the area. Neither involved running off the road and down the embankment. One was an older woman and one was a younger male. If I remember correctly, one occurred in the rain. Too bad we can't get the information that was posted elsewhere anymore...
They presented it as something that happened before the loss of the first child. Don't know where you get "pure desperation". Maybe it's just wishful thinking on your part (wanting Jason to be innocent) because I think jurors will see it as a possible reason for the loss of the first child and...
I don't think the evidence points away from Jason at all. DNA could have been on the jewelry box from it's purchase. Where did Jason get the medicine he used on Cassidy? Was it a pre-packaged sample, or was it one that he had open (for "display") in his sales meeting and a prospective client...
Otto, I'm very curious. What exactly was it that made you decide that Jason wasn't guilty? I have never seen any evidence that would get me to change my mind, yet you did a one-eighty over the past few years. What was the defining piece of information that made you change your mind?
I suppose he'll be bunking with Pat and Gerald again since he has no money, no job, no future. It's them that needs to be worried since they'll be knowingly living with an accused murderer. Talk about a dysfunctional family dynamic!
Think they'll be able to keep an eye on him to protect...
It would certainly be bizarre if they got all six to switch in either direction. Something wouldn't be right. I think they'll be out again soon and it'll be over with a hung jury.
