Matthew Herkel was, IIRC, around 32 when he died. I haven't posted much about him, but it appears he had a drug problem and either OD'd or suicided. His female roommate was recently busted for prostitution.

I apologize for the confusion - I typed "Jennifer" when I meant "Rebecca". The remarriage is mentioned by lPatrick on one of his Myspace entries. Whether it's true or not, who knows?

I think we need to find out what Jennifer Herkel's maiden name is. She's married to "Bill Herkel" who, according to Lpatrick, has a mobile home repair business. But "Pops" might be her father (Katie's grandfather).

Yes, I don't have it open now, but after it says that she owes him 50 million, it goes on to say that she owes him every penny she ever makes, and all of her earthly possessions. I think this will prove to be a "silencing" agreement of some sort.

Not only did she have to deal with the consequences of her DCF screw up, her house was foreclosed on the next month and she has filed bankruptcy! So HOW could she have come to sign over something that she didn't even have? It's SO hinky. . . . .

While Lpatrick probably didn't mastermind it, he could have very well choreographed it. It really does sound like a b-movie. I wonder if they were going into Walmart to buy their ninja-wear? LE knows (or will) they'll get the receipts. All of these sick and twisted minds, each with their own...

I don't think she could legally be the plaintiff and the GAL. That person would talk with the minor and report back to the judge, correct? The GAL happens in the "middle" of the case. . . I'm wondering if the child that was abused is somehow related to JAS? I know that in the criminal file...
