It's pretty clear that the federal laws prohibit a 15 year old to run off with a 50 year old no matter if it was "willingly" or not, the TN law however is a bit more blurry, so that might be a defense to at least try to fight the state charges, although while a 15 year old in TN might be able to...

They said she died at the scene but they are not sure she was murdered there. Could be there's some kind of evidence that she was trying to get up or dragging herself in the dirt. IMO
