I've never heard of this case, despite having lived in Sunderland for the past 6 years. For 2 of those years I lived in the estate next to Downhill.
It sounds like Julie suffered a horrific death and it's worrying to think whoever did it is still out there.
To me it definitely seems like it...
I watched the documentary, and as soon as they mentioned that the dog didn't bark, I thought - well how do they know? No one was there!
This never seemed to be raised as an issue which I found annoying.
I was on the Metro yesterday and saw half a dozen various Police vehicles parked in the area referenced as where his body was found. I'm not sure if it was related but maybe they were looking for more evidence.
Well.... I have just finished listening to The Last Stone. And I have more questions than answers! It must be so frustrating for the detectives and the Lyon family.
I don't think LLW acted alone. I believe other family members were involved but I don't think we'll ever get the truth.
As for...
I hate that he's been sighted on CCTV near the near water. The fact they don't seem to have picked him up anywhere else on CCTV is concerning... I would assume the businesses along Roker seafront would have cameras. Also there's the marina, and surely there'll be CCTV around there.
I really...
I've looked at their page again and it says 'potential sightings'. I'm sure that's changed since last night. I thought their wording seemed more positive than it does now so maybe it's not as hopeful as first thought
The family have posted on their Facebook page that he has been sighted in Peterlee. I haven't seen it reported in MSM yet. I'm keeping a look out for him today although I doubt he'll be wandering through the town centre.
All these sightings make it less likely he's had an accident in Hawthorn...
I sometimes go running or walking around Hawthorn Dene. It is beautiful. In fact we were there on Sunday morning and saw the posters.
In the woodland part there are lots of different pathways, some well worn and some not. There are lots of steps and steep sides and it would be very easy to...
At first glance to me it looks like someone walking away from the camera, pushing a pushchair with one of those waterproof covers on it. But it seems rather late at night for that!
There hasn't been any more news as far as I'm aware. I don't think water was the issue as I think the area she was located at was a short walk from the river. I've walked down Tanner's Bank a couple of times with a friend.
No news of cause of death that I've seen. I live south of the river, in...
My first thoughts... why are you talking about the kid like he's a rescue dog - "rehoming" and "forever family"
And secondly would you have "rehomed" him if he was your biological child?
I hope Huxley is doing good in his new home and hasn't been too disturbed by the second big upheaval...
Goodness, I have just read this thread after being directed here in another MP thread.
I don't know what to say! I have such a mixture of emotions. I knew Susan had passed away (due to the title) but my stomach just dropped and I got a lump in my throat when I read the post that her body had...
I've never seen Elton live, so me and my husband have bought tickets to see him in December.... I'm not letting myself get too excited about it though due to his age and health issues.
He's amazing to be doing what he's doing at his age. I couldn't do it and I'm half his age
I...
