No, uniforms would give parents a false sense of security. Schools are having a hard enough time paying teachers- they aren't going to supply uniforms for custodians. So what, you ask them to dress in a school or district t-shirt and jeans? Anyone can buy those t-shirts.

Janitors don't have a uniform- they wear whatever they want to. The ones at my school wear jeans and t-shirts. Some are in their early 20s. Do you want them to dress like they're 40?
