If you mean posters who tried to remain impartial and not leap to assumptions without all the evidence... Assuming innocence is what the British law system is all about, after all. And bear in mind that even the jury did not reach unanimous decisions on all the charges, and even found her not...

While there was even a glimmer of suspicion of foul play, surely they could have put some kind of safeguards in place, e.g., there must be two nurses present at all times whenever a baby is being cared for.

Trying to imagine motivation and came up with this. I think maybe she went into a nursing career for the wrong reasons: not because she had a caring nature, but because she wanted the status, the admiration and authority that nurses are often perceived to have. After being one of the...

She had the ideal outlet for her violent outbursts: victims that could not fight back in an environment in which she was not suspected for a long time. With all sorts of other "benefits" - attention, praise for her resuscitation skills, etc.

She's deprived of her freedom for the rest of her life, but she will not suffer as much as the victims of her crimes. You have to have real feelings in order to suffer. IMO

This has bothered me too. Could she have hidden this evil streak her whole life, or did it develop in adulthood? We'll probably never know.

I think all of us who followed this case will be haunted by it for a long time. It's very hard to process such evil.

So glad that justice has been done, but it leaves me with a feeling of depression that such evil exists and that those poor families' lives have been marred in this way.

As others have said, maybe it's better this way. What if she caused an awful commotion - it could detract from the dignity of the parents' statements.

In the good old days, we used to have public executions, so that the baying mob could turn up to gloat and jeer. That was stopped - I guess it was considered that execution was enough; no spectators required.

I know - I've read the article :) She quotes Letby's friend, Dawn: "The only way I'd ever believe that she's guilty is if she tells me she's guilty," she said. The writer says "I was struck by Dawn's certainty, but my own mind was far less settled. Like Dawn, I needed to hear directly from the...

It is interesting. If Judith was there for the whole trial, presumably she'd heard everything the jury had heard, yet she had no opinion as to her guilt or innocence.
