IMO-this trial is a little like the Wagner/Rhoden trail in Ohio where the witnesses could opt out of audio and video during their testimony. It drove me crazy that we couldn't hear directly what Jake and Angela Wagner were saying.

IMO-this really was just a robbery gone very wrong. He or his wife could have been a driver for the famiy and possibly knows Amish drivers. I'm guessing his DNA was found somewhere though in the Byler house that they would be able to identify him and know that he was connected to the red...

Either that or they had a business on their property or was selling something like eggs or quilts, etc. Either way it still could have been a robbery & IMO an assault.
