these photos are horrific. The 2 year old big sissy of Kahleb was reportedly not restrained which likely contributed to her fatal injuries suffered in the crash.

I wonder if the mom was holding the 2 year old and that is why she survived, I hate to even type this.

All 3 of them were unrestrained. I believe it was all part of his plan to make sure none of them survived the crash. JMO

Just wondering.

I have read a few of the articles above and looked at the Facebook pages. The only fundraiser was for Stephen himself, when he said he was unfairly fired from a job and he was expecting a baby soon. I'm not sure which baby he is referring to, but it only raised $20 from one person. I'll see if I can find it.

It seems inevitable that this sweet child is no longer with us. I see a frightening lack of info on Kahleb on both his parents Facebook pages. RyLeigh gets mentioned so much, with pics and gushing love for her. Kahleb is clearly the forgotten child. I suspect he met foul play way back in early September. Hopefully his remains are found and laid to rest like he deserves. Poor, sweet kids never stood a chance it seems.

Seeing pictures of the truck and knowing no one was wearing seat belts, I'm amazed anyone survived. Just because she regained consciousness doesn't necessarily mean she remembers what happened or if she is able to communicate it.

2 questions:

1.Has anyone done any sleuthing on the grandfather? Any previous arrests or anything of note? Has it ever been stated how he came to be Kahleb's guardian?

2. Has anyone seen more than 2 photos of Kahleb? After a fair amount of digging, I've only seen the one being circulated on MSM (where he appears to still be a baby) and one other, from June (6+ months ago)

I've never seen another photo of little guy save the two you mention. So sad, and yet his deceased sister was featured prominently on both parents Facebook pages.

I am just guessing here - so IMO only. When they say he is a guardian, I am not sure that means that the parents were not also guardians. I think he is listed as a guardian because he is an adult living in the home with the child and would help take care of the child. I haven't seen anything anywhere that indicates that the parents lost custody of the child.

because of the CPS involvement with the family I wondered if grandpa maybe had guardian status. I want to know more about WHY CPS was involved with the family. I think that may shed more light on whether grandpa was a guardian in the way we think or if it is simply language to describe him being an adult in the same household as the children.

this article quotes Steven's brother. Per Steven's FB page he and his brother were estranged some time back. To me this answers one of my questions about how/why the Collins side of the family weren't even aware Kahleb was missing. I don't think Collins side were much involved in the couple's life. No clue what exactly caused that estrangement.

Interesting. I hadn't really seen much rumor out there on SM about this case. I hope for an update from LE soon. Feels like they know quite abit at this point - except the exact location of little guy.
