I wonder if the grandfather talked? Or if the mother was able to?

I do not see a baby seat at all for a 24 month old.

I hope someone has talked. This baby deserves to be acknowledged and buried with respect :(

these photos are horrific. The 2 year old big sissy of Kahleb was reportedly not restrained which likely contributed to her fatal injuries suffered in the crash.

Those are awful photos indeed. Does anyone know if that pinkish fabric draped over the rear seat of the truck is the remnants of an air bag system or headliner (the material that covers the "ceiling"/interior roof of the vehicle)...or is it there to cover something we really don't want to see?

Also, nobody called dad out when he claimed his infant had his organs growing outside his body and yet he was living with a relative? From everything I've read and a friend whose son was born with this condition, gastroschisis and other similar conditions require a NICU stay until surgery is possible. I have *never* heard of a baby with this condition receiving home care, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I wonder if the mom was holding the 2 year old and that is why she survived, I hate to even type this.

I have a feeling, this is the case.

He said his son's organs were growing, but not his body. Different than "organs outside the body."

Photo's of the truck

Thanks for the link, at the end of the video clip the reporter says Kahleb was not yet crawling or walking, at one year old.
I'm wondering if this caused more stress within the family ?
Most kids reach their milestones but some are delayed.
This doesn't mean they won't catch up later.

Was Kahleb ever seen by a doctor in his life ?
:(
Omo.

In my experience of seeing crash photos, I've seen them cut before. They probably have to to be able to see if anyone was in the vehicle.

Makes sense. Thanks for answering!

Given that there's a missing child, the aggressive driving, and that none of them had seatbelts on, i think it's clear that this was a family anilihation by the father. I would place a bet that he murdered the missing child too. Jmo moo
I have been thinking the same. I wonder if he had a history of any kind of mental illness.

I read the article when it was posted yesterday but didn't bother watching the video. Just now watched it and immediately came back here to see if anyone else caught/heard the portion of the newscast that you pointed out.

At the 0:42 mark the reporter says:
"Neighbors say Kahleb was in poor condition the last time he was seen; unable to walk or crawl properly."
ABC News Video

It isnt specified what (if any) condition Kahleb was diagnosed with, if there was any validity to the dad's Facebook post in November about Kahleb not being well or if he had never been able to walk or crawl properly or if his inability to walk/crawl properly was a recent change that neighbors noticed.

I wish the reporter had been more detailed about what the neighbors said or probed more. I'm almost leaning towards this child having no formal diagnosis of anything, because no such problems existed, and the lack of crawling/walking was perhaps a recent issue & the result of abuse? Perhaps the Sept 4 date came from neighbors (not the Grandfather as I had originally thought?) and the "poor condition" was only observed then, not before? Or maybe I just have tunnel vision n this case but I find it interesting that when initially reporting this 1 year old as being missing, there was never mention by LE of a formal diagnosis or a need for medication like we sometimes see in other missing persons cases.

Dad's FB post about Kahleb's condition was posted November 6, over 2 months AFTER Kahleb was reportedly last seen. (September 4)

"Our son is not doing well. He is not growing and has major back issues. His organs are growing but not his body. He has to have surgery at some point. Keep him in your prayers. Been rough and just seems going to be a long rough tough road ahead of us"
