Evidence -- Body, Blood, Clothes, etc.

I've seen the necklace described in the press as being brown. Was it maybe some kind of leather cord with wooden beads on it? A leather cord would probably be strong enough to choke someone.

    Motive For Murder

What do you suppose it means, that she was never afraid to challenge others' views? I can think of few people of my personal acquaintance I'd describe that way. Some of them can do it nicely, in a way that doesn't make people feel threatened or insulted, and some of them can't.

    Motive For Murder

I agree, when it comes to most silver and gold chains. But a leather cord necklace or even some types of silk might be strong enough. I've even got one very heavy silver chain -- and I mean really heavy, too -- that might be strong enough to withstand someone pulling it like that.

Maybe this has been answered somewhere, but I can't find it. Does RC have a bachelor's degree or a high school diploma? Does his level of job require a degree?

I thought the same thing! If he IS the killer, then surely he spent the last few days busily scrubbing away evidence?

CT- Annie Le, missing from Yale, thread #7 FOUND DECEASED

So someone choked her to death. Interesting in light of that image on the GF's page that mentioned choking.

I had no idea the hierarchy was so rigid in those environments, but it does make sense.

I never go anywhere without my cell phone and my Blackberry. I'm on call 24/7, but even if I weren't, I would not go ANYWHERE without my cell. It's a personal safety thing. How close together were the two buildings? Maybe they were close enough together and she walked between them so often that...

Exactly. That is even more the case where I live in the South. I suspect it's also a "class" phenomenon. A lot of people love and admire the pretty, smart girl, but there are also those who resent the hell out of her. And in some cases, that resentment turns pathological.

CT- Annie Le, missing from Yale, thread #7 FOUND DECEASED

A few things make me think this. In one article that was linked earlier, someone from the lab was quoted as saying that he had recently had a huge issue with the research staff not using shoe covers. We've also seen anecdotes from acquaintances that mentioned he was domineering with his current...

I don't think you missed too much. Page 8 had just filled up and spilled over to 9 when the thread quit working for me. I don't remember any new info being revealed in the last couple of pages. The links to the news articles with the possible POI's name were early in the thread, so you probably...

Wow, what happened to the other thread? I was just reading along and then BAM! No more thread.

That WEAR link to the PDF stopped working for me last night. Anyone else having trouble with it?

I read in the interview with one of LPG's friends that LPG called him 13 times the day of the murders. I'm not sure I've ever called a single person 13 times in one day. Was he on drugs or something?

Yeah, I feel for the witnesses in this case, Dallasdon. If I had material information in a case, I'd definitely still tell the cops what I knew, but I'd also be making plans to move far, far away. I hope the innocent folks involved in this can just relocate out of Florida.

Lossmitpro, is ponytail guy Wiggins? It's like all these documents are starting to run together. I kinda felt sorry for that one guy (LS, IIRC) who kept giving up information on condition that other people not know he was the one who told. I guess they know now, if they didn't before.

So is this "Mr. Mantis" on page 523 of the WEAR PDF? The guy she's referring to as well-dressed and 50-ish? She says this guy hasn't been picked up yet.
