I work in mental health as well. I know some 2 yrs old that are diagnosed with autism but you typically have to go through testing via developmental pediatrician or psychological testing. The photos I saw of him didn't strike me as autistic either but ugh this case hurts my heart.
Haven't consistently read everything but I checked her thread last night for the first time in awhile and just had this odd feeling. Today I see what is rare but we need to see more often that she was found alive and is with her family.
I saw this on the news tonight as I live in VB. The thing that concerns me is that the kids will get sent to Renaissance Academy which is where they send all the kids who "act" up or get in trouble here and once you are in that school it's hard to get out despite what they say. I'm just...
I have been to Nairobi a few times and was even in a mall there. This was not the one I was at but so scary. The mall I was at had pretty tight security to get in but it was vulnerable if terrorists were able to get in. I have such a place in my heart for Nairobi. This is so sad.
I don't understand why there was anything released about the alleged incident with KB. It is confidential and she's a minor. Just one more thing she has to deal with.

I've worked with many families who run from state to state (or city to city) because well CPS won't do anything or can't. And sometimes...
RIP Aliahna.
This case affected me so much cuz I'm currently in Indiana and because I'm also deaf like Ali.
My heart is breaking. Why does this keep happening? Parents parent your children. I hope someone gets the siblings the therapy they need and the love they need. I'm concerned they may...
I'm a counselor with kids/teens (not verified on here).
I am uncomfortable with all those diagnoses being released outside of the blind/hearing. I'm also 50% deaf and that was often confused with ADHD when I was little. I do not like the ODD diagnosis with conduct disorder tacked on to it...
Thank you so much gitana1 for the videos. I have been watching them over my Christmas vacation. My best friend is currently in South Korea so I'm paying close attention to what is going on in North Korea.
