The way I’ve been picturing this is bystander hears Emma’s scream and subsequent 911 call. Now bystander is paying a little more attention than a random passerby would who may have missed her. IMO obviously
Couldn't agree more. The route home was obvious and they should know which parts of it are especially dangerous.
I am so sad for Casey and her family. :(
Interesting. I wonder if this is just so they feel like they're doing something or if they have reason to believe she made it home.
I always believed that she made it out of the city.
BBM IMO I think so. Temple and the area she went missing from aren't necessarily close to one another but she should be comfortable with the highways in the area.
Totally agree on the idea that if she got lost she would be scared -- but then what? It's been almost a week. Unless she was met...
Very true. But even though her friends have said to the media that she has a poor sense of direction, she may have not needed directions to get from her friend's house to her own if she'd done it before. She also goes to school in the city (although I don't know if they've mentioned whether she...
In the FOX29 video on page 1 the reporter says Casey lost her phone. Did she lose it while they were out? Before? Seems super coincidental that she loses her phone and then disappears with no way to track her.
If she stormed off at 5:30 AM, could be that she got in a fight with her friends. Say they were out at the clubs, they leave at 2, they come home and keep drinking... drunken arguments & poor decisions to leave during them aren't unheard of.
This is all MOO -- I have no idea where she went, or...
I'm also local and haven't heard much about this case. I just Googled her and everything on the local news' sites is pretty bare bones. I wonder if they checked traffic cams in the area to see where she was going.
Forgive me if this was already posted about the victims that were found overnight: Live Updates: Rescue Work Paused Over Fears of Further Collapse at Florida Condo Site
Even before the pause, the search had progressed slowly. The bodies of two sisters, ages 4 and 10, were pulled from the rubble...
I was just coming here to share this! Super informative graphic... I've been curious as to whether they have found the deceased in similar areas. It looks like they have -- all of the recovered so far lived on the north side of the building.
And now a separate thought, the house where Paighton was found has Christmas lights on it. It looks run down, sure, but I wouldn't say it's immediately identifiable as being abandoned. It's also on a corner and across the street from another home, so this doesn't feel like a random site to me...
Sorry to rehash but I'm still stuck on this text. I read the MSM links from the first few posts and it looks like the family is the only source of this text. Is this correct?
You're right and I want to make sure that I clarify (though I know you're not explicitly talking to me) that I'm NOT implying anything nefarious about the coworker, just trying to clear up who's who in the story.
I'm under the same impression. And I could be wildly off base here, but I just feel like you're EITHER:
Casual enough friends that you don't mind when one leaves the bar with two strangers
OR
Close enough friends that you can reach out to their parents if need be.
Does anyone know for a fact whether the friend she texted and the friend at the bar with her are one in the same?
Edit: This article --> Paighton Houston’s cause, manner of death still undetermined makes it sound like they are.
I haven't been here in too long, but this case isn't far from me so I had to check in and see what my WS friends were thinking. Nothing else to add but I hope they find her soon.
