So there's this which Ud posted. and this Is it simply that ridge removed the laces from the tennis shoes? Or is there evidence which states it was in fact removed from his pockets?

I don't believe so, since it describes the tread pattern more than the actual shoe itself, any shoe with a tread pattern consistent with a tennis-type shoe is viable. The shoes listed K-102-111 Were all inconsistent. Link 1 Link 2

TBH I don't know what to make of it, they were collected a month after the murders, we could speculate all day. Is there any more documentation on them? were they submitted for testing? I can't seem to find any reports on them, still looking. Submitted on the 24th June:Link

Yes that's where they were being returned to. But they were still at the crime lab for roughly 15 years. Either way, I guess as Mrs G said, it could have just been an oversight. I wonder how many other pieces of evidence are sitting at the lab.

Going by this report it appears they were checked against the plaster-casts that were made from the crime scene, is there a list of what other testing was done with them? Surely this wasn't it, and I'm not suggesting it is.

I have heard it being said. Or at least that a lace was missing anyhow.

Now I know you don't expect us to believe what is shown on a YouTube video and I could comment on a lot of things there, however, is there any documentation to show that Jason replaced his shoelaces after the murder? Which in itself isn't necessarily evidence of guilt but I will admit is suspicious.

I believe from seeing the snipped photographs that you can still make out who had the aiglets intact which may help narrow things down, I don't believe a definitive account of the laces exists from what I've seen.

I know Paid from the blackboard has done a lot of work with the laces, including graphs, overlays with measurements etc. I would post the link but I don't believe unregistered members can access it. It would be helpful no doubt.

I think I'll skip the picture, but yes, it would be interesting to know, it would have been even better if the documentation of evidence was to a higher standard, seems the norm for this case. And I don't think a knife is necessarily the only way to cut a shoelace in half, although it seems the...
