Thanks for your post, bloom, but I don't think it's at all surprising the cops checked you out - that was what I assumed the white SUV was doing as I read about it - or that that's a bad thing. They want to know who might return to the scene of a crime.

Quite possibly. The truck could be an accomplice who aids in disposal of the body. I am walking back at least a little my suspicion of JR, but I still find it hard to come up with a believable scenario in which both he is telling the truth and LE remains focused on what the friends know.

I believe JW attempted to contact LS that evening and went to bed without hearing anything back. I know nothing to indicate that he was aware of the altercation that night or even, perhaps, prior to discovering the disappearance.

DR and JR are facebook friends. HT characterizes them all as mutual friends, at least in a loose sense. It's certainly possible that LS and DR went to JR's to watch a DVR'd game, but my assumption is that that was a cover for drug use.

I could be wrong, but my understanding was that you don't need assistance to get into Smallwood, the building (at all hours?), though you may need a card to use the elevator and/or get into your room. I believe the call was for assistance getting LS home, something for which HT or any other...

Just a few points on the above: #3 - I believe the only ambiguity about when CR met LS results from a poorly-written sentence in one media report that could be read to suggest they met two weeks before LS disappeared, when in fact it meant two weeks before the date of the article/interview. I...

It was stated by Qualters in one of the 6/7-10 news conferences, which I posted and transcribed in, I believe, the previous thread.

So where did she sleep? I don't think you get to the bar, the gym or the grocery store before answering that question. When the facts suggest that question doesn't have a good answer, the person is missing. JMO.

So who is the one friend who came to LE? Is it JW? We've seen reports that two of LS's friends filed the missing persons report, not JW. But that's two, not one. Perhaps filing the report is different from coming forward. If it's not JW, is it HT? Who else could it be?

I would assume she wasn't worried because she assumed LS spent the night elsewhere, whether at JW's as HT says was planned or somewhere else. Remember, HT is not on the timeline after 12:30AM. She may have just gone to bed, and not known a thing about CR or anything else that night. It's...

It's possible that JW knew LS was last seen at JR's before JW went to her apartment. I.e. something like the following: he gets text from bar re phone. He texts HT. HT says LS never came home, went to JR's last night. JW calls JR. JR says she left 4:30AM. JW texts HT (in class) for key. JW gets...

Re: going to the police. I don't understand why this seems strange or early. LS was last seen at JR's. JR says she headed home at 4:30 (I'm assuming this was known to those looking for her - JW, HT, maybe AR - before the report was filed, at 3? maybe it wasn't). HT says she never got home, at...

This might also account for his (unique?) sense of urgency, given her (reported, I believe) need to take medicine every 24 hours.

My impression - they were concerned about her because she was in a highly intoxicated state, and the guy's intentions didn't seem to be that great. I don't know whether the concern for her well-being was more about what he might do (ie sexually?) or what she might do (ie drug use?), but I would...

My reading of HT's interview is that she is torn between wanting to find (out what happened to) her friend and not wanting to believe that anyone she knows/is friends with has done something wrong, though she certainly seemed to acknowledge the possibility that they might have. I grew at least...

I'm not referring in large part to your comments. More to those of others, including TG's and those to which he refers near the end of the last thread. I am defending HT, sure, but I'm not being defensive because I'm not being attacked. The reasons are stated above.

My understanding is that your latter statement is correct. And that the basis of that belief relates to drug use.

While I'll leave without comment your moralizing regarding those who drink before they are of age (or at all?) or engage in drug use vs. those who are "strongly religious," I feel compelled to note that you have deemed the former group, which comprises probably 50% or more of American college...

I believe that suspicion is directed at HT largely because she is the only POI (along with CR's and MB's attorney and some confirmation from LE) who has supplied us with any of the story. What would people be saying if JR, CR, MB, DR, and JW (all of them, unlike HT, represented by counsel) were...
