According to the redacted documents recently released, during the week after she returned home, Abby didn't provide LE with an accurate description of Kibby, and it was 7 days before Abby told her mother that she hadn't given LE all the necessary information they needed and then told LE Kibby's...
Some information from the arrest warrant for Kibby was revealed today:

I remember reading a newspaper article soon after she disappeared that said search teams had looked around the quarry and the high school, but I don't have a link to an article. The quarry is well-known in the area, and there are hiking/biking trails around it, so I'm not surprised that it was...
Thank you! I've been trying to find when that was. So, because of the timing it looks like the press conference that didn't happen could have been related to the letter, although not necessarily.
Does anyone remember a few weeks back when LE said there would be a press conference, but then there wasn't? Was it on a Friday? I'm wondering if that might have been soon after LE found out about the letter, and then they decided to cancel the press conference until the letter could be...
I'm in central NH and it started snowing here at 6:45 pm (about an hour ago). It's the really dry, light, fluffy stuff, and we've only got about 1/2 an inch so far. I think the heavier precip is supposed to come later tonight and into tomorrow.
I'm really not looking forward to shovelling...
See, that's the thing. If there were no fingerprints from Abby on the letter or envelope, then that would lead me to believe that it wasn't from her. If it was from her - whether it was hand-written or typed - I would think that it might be difficult for her to handle a piece of paper, fold it...
I don't think the girl in the picture is Abby, either. Has anyone who actually knows Abby made any comments on the facebook page about it being her? The people who know her would be the ones who'd know for sure.
It's possible that that was the first opportunity that Abby had to write and mail a letter. We don't know her circumstances; she may have had to sneak that letter into a mailbox or wait until she could get an envelope or a stamp.
But Maine is in the wrong direction from the cell tower where Abby's phone last pinged. If the phone had been taken towards Maine, it would have pinged off a tower in or near Maine, and it didn't.
If the phone got thrown out a car window into water, there are a couple of places to the north...
I've read several articles that say she's a nurse.

The nursing home where Zenya works is in Ossipee, which is much more than 10 minutes away by car. It's about a 45 minute drive.
Edited to say: While I was doing mapquest on this, it looks like Steleheart already posted this info, with a map and everything, so... nevermind :)
...Except to...
NG works for a major network that has a lot of money to pay lawyers if there is a lawsuit Small-town newspapers are shrinking and many of them don't even make a profit, so they are more worried about being sued than CNN or other tv networks are. A newspaper reporter is more likely to lose...
The media in NH did give a lot of attention to this case, but there has been no new information from LE in weeks (either because no leads have panned out or because they don't have any additional information that they can share with the public), so that's why there hasn't been much media...
She wasn't wearing running clothes when she was last seen, though, and she was wearing boots on her feet, not running shoes. If she was meeting someone after school for a run, wouldn't she have changed her clothes before she left the school? I think if LE thought it was likely that she had...
Her mother said she wasn't on any organized sports teams. Perhaps she ran track or cross country in middle school, but I haven't read anything about whether she did or not. She had only been a freshman for a month before she disappeared, and according to her mom she wasn't on a team at the time...
I checked the bus schedules for Kennett H.S. (they're posted online by the school district), and I believe they all say that the buses leave Kennett at about 2:27 pm. According to that schedule, the bf's bus would have left the H.S. about 25 minutes before he got the heart text.
I've only read in MM that the heart was the last thing that Abby texted, at 2:52 or 2:53 pm (depending on which article you read). By that time, I think all of the buses would have been gone and well on their way, since the buses seemed to be leaving around the same time she did, at about 2:30...
