    GUILTY CO - Shanann Watts (34), Celeste"Cece" (3) and Bella (4), Frederick, 13 Aug 2018 *CW LWOP* #63

I agree Nanzdrew. No way did he put them in the back seat. He's always trying to make himself seem less callous than what he really is.

NY - 8 Die in Crash on Taconic State Parkway #3

A toxicology report will only exclude ambien or similar z drug by stating Ambien NOT DETECTED. If the report does not state that it means it was not tested for. I work in a toxicology lab. I think the fact that they found the large amount of alcohol plus evidence of THC use was sufficient for...

Post sentencing discussion and the upcoming appeal

How in hell did Masipa find this man not guilty? What a fool she is, either stupid, or she was taking instructions from higher up the ladder. Very possible in SA.

And that's why you're called sleuthers! Should be supersleuthers.

    Trial Discussion Thread #59 - 14.21.10, Day 48 ~ sentencing~

I agree, even the family seemed prepared. Masipa must have let Roux know.

5year imprisonments for the culpable homicide charge.

Well, it's better than no jail time. He will have time to reflect on what he's done. The Steenkamps have a life sentence.

Masipa, your time has come. Do the right thing.

    Trial Discussion Thread #54 - 14.13.10, Day 43 ~ sentencing~

I got so mad looking at the dumb expression on Masipas face, she has made up her mind what's she's going to do. Sorry can't watch anymore. No respect for her I'm afraid. Nel is still fighting for the Steenkamps. Bless him.

    awaiting sentencing phase

It certainly fits with the deadpan face, and lack of any meaningful interaction with the lawyers. The only thing I commend her for is that she never yawned. Now I believe she was made a judge due to affirmative action, not due to skills or competency.

We've come to know OP so well.

    awaiting sentencing phase

I wonder what Nel and his team are planning for the next stage of this sorry saga? He must surely be fed up at how things have turned out? Can they appeal this sentence? Or is he going to wait and see what jail time is given, if any. Would another more experienced judge not see things...

    awaiting sentencing phase

Oh for a fly on the wall so we could find out exactly what happen that night, it will for sure find OP a moody highly strung liar and a dangerous man.

    awaiting sentencing phase

Poor poor reeva, she screamed for someone to help her, and her screams have now been drowned out by masipas verdict. But we at websleuthers heard her screams and know exactly why she was screaming, we will never forget her, beautiful Reeva. RIP

Discussion between the verdict and sentencing

Patricia Taylor's book about Oscar makes very interesting reading if you want to know more about OPs psyche. It is available on Kindle and costs about $10. She is Sam Taylor's mom, book is called An accident waiting to happen.

Discussion between the verdict and sentencing

You should find a photo on juror13 website, when officer Barend van Staden, the photographer, was going through all the photos with NEL.

Discussion between the verdict and sentencing

I have just finished reading the book by Patricia Taylor (Samantha's mom). There is some interesting parts to it about the moms relationship with OP when he was dating her daughter. A fair amount of it is just from news clippings and Oscars biography which we already know, but if you want to...

Discussion between the verdict and sentencing

I think they were flung out the bathroom window, as they were lying opened out, with a belt still on them. If they had fallen, they would have fallen downwards below the bathroom window, into a heap, instead they were found just below the toilet window. Masipa ignored this photo, or gave it...

Discussion between the verdict and sentencing

I agree with you. The only good that is going to come out of this whole trial, is that OP will never be allowed to have a gun with him. This is surely going to save someone's life in the future, more than likely a girlfriend.
