The FWM was speaking about Disney. A reporter asked specifically if they were relocated, and the man said no.

In the presser, the Florida Wildlife Management representative stated that gators are not relocated, that would just be "relocating a problem alligator."

Why do you think so? I agree the warning signs should've included alligators, but there's not been a problem before. 45 years in business (according to the Sheriff), and 28 years with this specific beach, and it's never happened before. 19,000,000 visitors to WDW annually. It was a horrible...

Last night, the sheriff said "about 1 foot in." I took that to mean 1 foot from the shore. I don't know if that is necessarily correct.

On MSNBC, they stated they were a family of 4. Mom, Dad, Baby (2) and a 4 yr old girl. Last night, the Sheriff reported they were a family of 5, not 5 children, but he wasn't that specific, so it was probably an error.

One thing is clear from this thread alone; people interpret warning signs in different ways. I would think "no swimming" means don't get in the water, not even a toe. It's clear that many (maybe even the majority) think it means more than that. Disney will obviously change their approach...

blue, I don't think the press conference specified that any of the witnesses saw the initial attack, but from the commotion, likely many saw the parents in the aftermath. I'm sure it happened too fast. But from my listening to the Sheriff, he did not specify who was standing where, nor did he...

I was wondering this as well, but also assumed that there was security video - seems like Disney would have every inch surveilled. edit to add this was in response to blue22
