A few months ago, information was released, transcriptions of interviews etc from the RCMP. I believe it was Andrew Macdonald, who was shot on Orchard Beach Drive, but escaped, told police about 1030 that night that it was GW in a fully "badged" cruiser. That phrase stood out to me, "badged"...
What a mess....again. I have seen interviews with family members angry (and justifiably so) at things the RCMP did or did not do. Now they have another lightning rod for those emotions. Hard to imagine healing when people keep picking at the scab of the wound.
I am not trying to stir the pot here, but this is something I find interesting. LB and two others are charged with unlawfully transferring ammunition to the shooter. The police have stated that she (and the other two accused) had no knowledge of his intentions. That is probably true. But...
In the redacted documents on page 71, item 53:1 says the FBI found no evidence of the facetime call the night of April 18 between GW and his American friends. This is the call which triggered the rage according to Lisa Banfield. It was the catalyst for what followed, or so I heard months ago...
I saw a security camera video of the firehall during this episode and "after" footage too. I was surprised at what appear to me to be "wild shots" fired. They seem to have bad aim with their weapons. I suppose it's a good thing in a way as no one was hurt, but it surprised me to see.
I can...
Tayaway, when I compared the KH situation to this, it was not a comparison of the acts themselves, but of someone potentially using information in exchange for a lighter sentence.
It is perfectly understandable that the story would come out as "inconsistent drivel" rather than a rehearsed...
One might think her disapproval of the "don't do it" comment would win favour with him as it showed support for him and them being a couple.
The whole story is full of inconsistencies. She shows support for them as a couple and it upsets him? He wakes her up and beats her at the cottage, but...
Otto, I wanted to clarify something. You wrote "You are not alone in suspecting that she was aware..." Actually, my concern was not that she was, or was not, aware. My concern was that the RCMP released to the media the statement that she was not aware. I would like to know how that fact was...
I read thru that link to HalifaxToday, and this is something which bothers me with regard to the 3 people charged with acquiring ammunition for the shooter.
However, police have noted, she and others had "no prior knowledge of the gunman's actions.''
The article states as a fact that the 3 who...
I think the story is a loose combination of two stories. The "party" for GW and LB was a video call to friends and they had drinks and chatted at the warehouse where he had a bar. The Blairs apparently had Leon Joudrey and someone else to a steak dinner but ate socially distanced in their...
From what was just released, after he took her shoes/footwear from her as they walked from the cottage to the warehouse, she attempted to run away. He shot at her feet to keep her moving. When they got to the warehouse he shot the firearm again and put her in back of police car. (None of...
I read the dome light concern to be that if he had seen it from distance he'd know exactly where she was, even when it went out.
Conversely, why not leave the door open to lure him into looking for you there while you go the other way..........
When I read the quote "It's done" my first thought was of Macbeth.
I have wondered about the jacket incident too. One statement says she hid in a vehicle briefly but was afraid the dome light would give away her position in the dark, so she fled, then dropped the jacket for the police to...
It is so difficult to know what happened because of the contradictions. In some redacted documents as GW told her to leave the cottage, he cautioned her to watch her step since the floor was slippery with gasoline. A strange thing to say to someone you are beating. Same with the gun, he asked...
I cannot find the source for the newly released info, but I stumbled across it on a video channel "Little Grey Cells" who went thru it page by page over the course of 3 hours.
The documents show GW and LB were at the warehouse, then to the cottage and back to the warehouse. I have wondered...
One interesting detail in the released information caught my eye.
"Gabriel Wortman poured gasoline all inside the cottage and told Lisa Banfield to grab the gun out of the cottage. They started to walk back to the warehouse so Gabriel could burn that."
Perhaps it was not loaded, but it is...
I just read something which caught my eye in the redacted documents. The shooter stole Joey Webber's SUV, and then switched it over with Gina Goulet's car shortly after. In the abandoned SUV, they found a Correctional Services Jacket, probably stolen from Sean McLeod, and McLeod's wallet. Why...
One audio interview I heard with him was that she was (paraphrasing) "bouncing off the walls", in a very agitated state. By this time Joudrey had driven around, saw there had been fires and had unknowingly driven past bodies. He knew by that time people had been murdered too. He was on edge...
It sure looks like he had a plan beyond Portapique.....but what, and where? If he left cash behind, he must have planned to somehow retrieve it after faking his death by fire?
Beyond the horrors of what he did, there are so many lingering questions.
