This case is eerily similar to the Paul Kochu disappearance in December 2015. Both have ties to Duquesne U, both were young, both were out with friends, and both went missing.
If I recall correctly, Kochu's family scheduled a search of North Park as well. I hope the family receives some news...
IMO, he must have discussed his late evening plans with his co-workers. When he didn't show up for work the next day, his work notified the authorities. Sounds like a hookup that went terribly wrong.

The Commons is a square block on the Northside. 158 W Commons is about a block away from the Park Ave Apartments complex. 158 S Commons is just off Federal Street which would make it likely DJ crossed the Clemente Bridge.

It's interesting that the roommates really don't have a social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
