Australia Samantha Murphy, 51, last seen leaving her property to go for a run in the Canadian State Forest, Ballarat, 4 Feb 2024 *Arrest* #10

It's not always a choice and there isn't always an opportunity for assistance nor even knowing that there's another direction to go. Boys who don't know better can't be better. Personal responsibility is important, sure, but as a society we need to be able to support those who need it...

Australia Australia - Celine Cremer, 31, Belgium backpacker, car found at the Philosopher’s fall track, Waratah, Tasmania, 12 June 2023

Yeah it does sound possible that she was never there. Maybe more probable than wandering off that track. I had thought that maybe her car didn't start and someone - maybe offering her a lift - took her or maybe just took her not even under the guise of helping. Maybe coming back and tossing the...

Australia Australia - William Tyrrell Disappeared While Playing in Yard, Kendall (NSW), Sept 2014 #76

My puppy went missing and I ran up and down the road yelling her name and flagging down cars. I'd be knocking on doors and making sure everyone got out and looked if it was my kid.

Found Deceased AUSTRALIA - Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, 14, last seen on Henry Street in Launceston, Tasmania, 30 April 2023 *arrest*

Human remains have been found in the search area. So awful. I was hopeful that she'd run away. Remains located in search for missing teenager

Yeah maybe. It always just baffles me to think that people wander into the bush like that. Particularly unprepared tourists.

Australia Australia - Celine Cremer, 31, Belgium backpacker, car found at the Philosopher’s fall track, Waratah, Tasmania, 12 June 2023

Ah I only meant given the track. It's an easy short walk. And would be a strange one to walk off given its a signposted kind of short walk thing and there's a stack of other walks to hikes. But I guess people do strange things. Would have thought more people would have seen her too, especially...

Yes sure, think her walking experience is totally irrelevant whatever happened. I wonder if her car started. If she'd gone for a walk then got back and couldn't start her car there would be no other way out other than hitching a ride.

It wouldn't really matter how experienced a hiker you were for this walk though. It's a short, quick walk. Unless she went off track and headed out somewhere which seems unlikely.

Australia Australia - Theo Hayez, 18, Belgian backpacker, Byron Bay, 31 May 2019 #4

Getting your hands on drugs in Byron isn't very hard though. It would be harder to avoid them :) they'd be available at the hostel. I don't know enough about the texts he sent but not sure you could always tell if someone was wasted. He could have just been impaired enough to make some poor...

Australia Australia - Theo Hayez, 18, Belgian backpacker, Byron Bay, 31 May 2019 #4

There's lots of magic mushrooms in Byron. The more I read people's attempts to make sense of his movements or his state of mind etc the more I think how illogical someone on mushrooms can be.

CONVICTION OVERTURNED MD - Hae Min Lee, 17, Baltimore, 13 Jan 1999

He was selling drugs from his grandmother's house. If the police knew and gave him an out why wouldn't he take it? Sounds like lying wasn't that unusual for him anyway! I think the police thought they knew that Adnan did it. They made a timeline that fitted and found people to agree with it...

    Australia Australia - William Tyrrell, 3, Kendall, Nsw, 12 Sep 2014 - #67

It's not that far away from her and her It's not that far away and her dad had died (in Feb). Seems odd to not visit her mum after that (until September) if they were close. If they weren't close and it was a bit of a big deal to go visit, it seems odd to change arrival time. (Grandma wouldn't...

    Australia Australia - William Tyrrell, 3, Kendall, Nsw, 12 Sep 2014 - #67

I thought I had read somewhere (on this very long stack of threads!) that she hadn't seen her mother for a very long time, that it wasn't usual for them to visit. If this is the case it might be a bit more odd

    GUILTY Australia - Terence Darrell Kelly, charged w/ abduction of 4 y.o., WA, 16 Oct 2021 #2

I thought I read earlier on here that she wasn't inside the bag but had it tucked over her. That makes it even trickier if that's the case

Australia Australia - Theo Hayez, 18, Belgian backpacker, Byron Bay, June 2019 #2

Couldn't he have stayed at someone's house? Stayed up late, crashed there, even eaten there in the morning? (Not saying this is what happened but it definitely wouldn't be the most outlandish suggestion so far!)

Australia Australia - Theo Hayez, 18, Belgian backpacker, Byron Bay, June 2019

Thanks :) Is weird if he hung around anywhere for a bit by himself and didn't message anyone. Especially if he was meeting someone. Surely he had someone with him. Is so strange that noone saw him. (That we know I guess.)

Australia Australia - Theo Hayez, 18, Belgian backpacker, Byron Bay, June 2019

I've read back over but it's hard on my phone! Can anyone tell me what time he did this walk? Is it before the last msg he actually sent? Did he definitely still have his phone? Or could the phone have been with someone else?

Australia Australia - Theo Hayez, 18, Belgian backpacker, Byron Bay, June 2019

Someone's probably said this already but ... phone could have died in early hours of the morning and shut itself off, whether Theo still had it in his possession or not. Someone found it the next afternoon and turned it on to see if it worked. It would have turned on briefly (maybe enough to...
