    Suspect: Daniel Heinrich - #3

That's exactly what I thought. Though how inmates wouldn't find out what he had done is beyond me.

Dan Rassier: Former POI **Wrongly accused**

Human, IB, Re: the cadaver dogs and DR's off-kilter remarks --- LE had shoeprints AND tire tracks at the scene of abduction, matching those of a known and active child molester with absolutely no alibi. Really? ANY innocent explanation for that? I don't think so. I think it's too bad that the...

Dan Rassier: Former POI **Wrongly accused**

OMG - DR is just a slightly weird guy. In the most benign way. . My ex-husband (a very nice guy) is a voracious reader and keeps files of everything - like he actually cuts things out of the newspaper of interest. His mom also does it. Idiosyncratic maybe. Not suggestive of pathology. If The...

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #2

Thanks. I wanted to say that too, with all respect to JJenny. Can someone explain this to me? I fully understand that the scientific blah blah meant that the tire/shoe prints at scene wouldn't allow DH to charged without other evidence. I get this clearly. But even I, a humanities major with...

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

The person who really got to me yesterday at the news conference was Trevor. I feel for that guy. To have to see the Monster -even in chains. I hope very much that this resolution somehow helps he and A.L. both in some way.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

Agree - the simplest answer is usually the truth. OTOH truth IS stranger than fiction. But I agree with you Sigrun - my gut reaction to the Bobcat was that it was highly improbable. The odds that when you kill someone and need to bury a body there is a Bobcat handy with keys?! The guy was in a...

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

Agree. Why else would the gun have been loaded? He could easily have intimidated a 10 -11 year old with an unloaded revolver - that was a stupid lie.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

I don't believe for a second that it lasted for "30 minutes." Or that he "went home for a couple of hours." More like the assault lasted for 3 hours. He finally had his prey cornered, I doubt he fluffed and went home to watch 60 minutes.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

I recall reading that too, but I don't think DH said it. I think it was in some reporting that confused JS and JW scenarios. I wonder if part if "independently verifiable" included a new lie detector test on DH.

Agree 100% re: the 27 years of life he led as a free man.

My bad: I meant Sears, not JCP. Image is Sears' The Winner II shoes circa 1989. http://only-sneakers.ru/category/other/page/2/

    Suspect - Daniel Heinrich #2

I read somewhere that DJH told LE when questioned in 1990 that he had purchased his shoes at JCP. These 1989-vintage JCP shoes (online auction image) sure look identical:

Dan Rassier: Former POI **Wrongly accused**

I could never understand why LE out so much weight on the boys not hearing a car -- when you're running hard, in this case literally for your life, the wind and your adrenaline Rush are pretty deafening - while they might have heard screeching tires or loud revving, I would not expect them to...

Dan Rassier: Former POI **Wrongly accused**

I think DR became and remained a person of interest simply because he could not be ruled out, due to ghastly proximity, (imo unfortunate) overreliance on TW/AW not hearing a vehicle, llack of alibi, arguable "eccentricities," and because "the simplest answer is usually the truth. That's why I...

    The Abduction October 22, 1989

Re: trophies and confessions -All personality-disordered people fall on a spectrum of severity - the fact that DJH has managed to stay out of jail for any offense for most of his adult lifetime convinces me that he is extremely risk-averse - for sure since 1989; also makes me think he...

Sasquatch's comment - very risky to wager that building wd be fully engulfed before firefighters arrived - excellent point.

Site of attack on JNS: Can it lead to clues about Jacob?

Anyone know how thoroughly LE reconstructed DJHs whereabouts in the days immediately after the abduction? He says he was "probably driving around Paynesville or doing laundry" on Sunday 10/22, but when was the first time he *was* accounted for after that night? I had an ATM card by 1985 as well...

    Suspect - Daniel Heinrich

Okaaaay -- your explanation is logical but something doesn't sit right for me. My understanding is that DJH voluntarily allowed the tire impressions to be taken back then - wonder if they asked about a vehicle search as well and he refused. IMO if he'd truly been a top suspect back then things...
