I interpreted it as typical victim blaming. He didn't start this. If only MS hadn't [dressed this way/said this to him/looked at him like this/insert whatever excuse] then none of this would have happened.
I was just thinking the same thing. I know hindsight is 20/20 and we're all a bunch of know-it-all's from behind our computer screens, but seeing the pictures of the tanks, especially how they seem so blatantly hidden...seems like it should have been searched long ago.
This logic from RA doesn't make much sense for me. Wouldn't his family be spared from seeing photos of the bodies/crime scene if he pleas out and doesn't allow this to go to trial?
I was really skeptical for a long time that RA was the right guy. If I was on the jury, I would have had doubt.
I can't reconcile his innocence anymore. A few confessions, I could be persuaded it wasn't true. Over SIXTY?

I'm currently reading a book on the murders and it's made me wonder: assuming Richard Allen is guilty as charged, what happened here? How did he evade capture for so long? Is he especially skilled or were the investigators especially bumbling?
Man, that is just a gut punch. That man will never recover. So many people are self-absorbed and worry about their own needs. Luckily, not all of those people become responsible for the death of their child. I can't even imagine what the man is going through.
What a rude description of the woman. She can't escape the cruelties of the world even in her death.
I'm going to watch The Shining tonight in her memory.
