    Burlap and Forensics

I couldn't agree more! ;) I don't think the killer has moved on. He might just be dormant. It happens more than people think. With all the exposure, especially now, it would not surprise me if the killer waits for the media attention to die down.

NY - Mari Gilbert, mother of Shannan Gilbert, murdered by daughter Sarra, 23 July 2016

That might be what the killer is counting on, yes. Hoping people will just use the mental illness as the reason she did it.

NY - Mari Gilbert, mother of Shannan Gilbert, murdered by daughter Sarra, 23 July 2016

While that might be true, it does not 100% disprove the theory the other person posted. Mentally unstable people like Sarra are prone to delusions, but they are also very easy to manipulate. It wouldn't even take a lot of effort to get her to kill Mari, if that was the goal in this. I just don't...

    Burlap and Forensics

It is still easily accessible. Regardless of how easy it is to trace, burlap is sold in more places people think. And if you buy it at Home Depot, and pay cash, nobody will know. Also, burlap blends with the bushes, surroundings, unlike plastic. Which makes it not look out of place as much.

Possibly related cases (GB4, Manorville, Bittrolff victims, & others)

1.) Why is that relevant? 2.) Is there any indication they are? Kim Raffo, Barbara Breidor, Tracy Ann Roberts and Molly Jean Dilts don't sound like Muslims, unless they married to Muslims.

    Burlap and Forensics

Why are people so focused on the burlap being tied to the killer by his profession? It has been stated several times how cheap and easily accessible it is. It is also more reliable than plastic bags, when moving heavy objects. Plastic bags tear easily.

NY - Mari Gilbert, mother of Shannan Gilbert, murdered by daughter Sarra, 23 July 2016

I wonder if police looked into this and rushed to judgement the same way they did with Shannan (The theory that she tripped, hit her head, drowned and the branches ripped off her pants). I sure hope they are more competent than that and actually looked into it. Anyone would make the possible...

NY - Mari Gilbert, mother of Shannan Gilbert, murdered by daughter Sarra, 23 July 2016

I can't unsee the connection with Hackett calling the Gilbert family earlier, and this theory. Could he be connected to a possible phone call to convince Sarra to kill her mother? Given Sarra's mental state, which was common knowledge, I would not be surprised if the killer called her to...

A&E The Killing Season Episodes 1 and 2

Why was my post deleted twice? I watched both the Killing Season episodes and the People Magazine Investigates episodes which aired last week. I was not really a fan of the Killing Season going the route of sensationalism and trying to turn it into a blockbuster movie. That's the vibe I got...

    Possible Victim: Shannan Gilbert

Why were the messages deleted instead of moved to the correct thread? These were replies to questions which are still visible in the thread. It would be nice if the time posters spend putting the messages together, is not going to waste by deleting the messages.

    Possible Victim: Shannan Gilbert

What has intrigued me is the thought that if Hackett didn't call SG's family, they would not have found those bodies (or found them years later). I am not willing to state Hackett is not the killer. From what I have read about serial killers (from all over the world) I know never to rule out...

    Possible Victim: Shannan Gilbert

This is a very interesting theory. Dr. Hackett is a weird character who seems to be craving the attention. I only found out about this case recently (I live in Europe) and so many questions I've had have been answered just by reading the topics on this forum. Dr Hackett is still a weird case. If...
