GUILTY SC - Paul Murdaugh & mom Margaret Found Shot To Death - Alex Murdaugh Accused - Islandton #38

I agree with both of you - heartbroken for Buster but hoping he is able to salvage something positive out of this long term. I am a lifelong SC resident and so grateful for Judge Newman and his presence in this trial.

TX - Uvalde; Robb Elementary, 19 children and 3 adults killed, shooter dead, 24 MAY 2022 #2

It’s likely that the city’s lawyer advised against firing him before the investigation is complete - otherwise it could open the district up to even more lawsuits. I suspect it could be spun as admitting fault or guilt if they fired him now.

SC - Stephen Smith, 19, homicide, Hampton Co, 9 Jul 2015 *new death investigation 2023*

Have any of the articles or documents given the name of the pathologist who did the autopsy of Stephen Smith?

AMBER ALERT WI - Jayme Closs, 13, Barron, missing after parents found shot, 15 Oct 2018 *endangered* #29

This isn't necessarily unusual; this kind of thing happens with new computer systems all the time and it sounds like they will be providing a resolution soon.

OH - Pike County: 8 People From One Family Dead As Police Hunt For Killer(s) #36 *Arrests*

Can someone point me to a family tree or something to help me understand the people/families involved and how they all fit together? I feel sure someone has posted this before....????? If not, I'd be happy to try and put it together in a diagram if someone can point me to a summary of the info....

    IN - Abigail Williams, 13, & Liberty German, 14, Delphi, 13 Feb 2017 #22

I happened to mention this at work today (in SC) in passing and the person knew what I was talking about! He'd seen one of the billboards locally and had followed up to learn more about the case.

    IN - Abigail Williams, 13, & Liberty German, 14, Delphi, 13 Feb 2017 #10

A thought came to mind after reading posts about the timeline and the idea that the killer may have expected them to be found quickly, along with the lack of detail being released by LE and the level of emotion shown by LE in the press conference. Could the killer have expected them to be found...

    IN - Abigail Williams, 13, & Liberty German, 14, Delphi, 13 Feb 2017 #10

The link below may be relevant for those trying to understand apparent conflict/confusion in MSM articles about the DNA evidence. LE may have gathered evidence that *could* contain DNA from the perpetrator, but they wouldn't know for sure whether the evidence contained DNA or even whether it...

PA PA - Dorothy Forstein, 40, Philadelphia, 18 Oct 1949

1960 announcement where the older daughter and her husband announced the engagement/marriage of her sister, Marcy. A search for Marcy Forstein gives this link: http://gwf225.tripod.com/ghs57mfs.html Names/dates match up to make it appear that this is the correct Marcy Forstein who was the...

PA PA - Dorothy Forstein, 40, Philadelphia, 18 Oct 1949

I hope this death certificate is readable - not sure what the best way to attach it is (would welcome guidance from others who have been on WS longer!). It looks like the informant for the DC was Sol. Forstein. This may be his father based on the information on Find A Grave.

PA PA - Dorothy Forstein, 40, Philadelphia, 18 Oct 1949

It looks like Jules died in 1956: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=140050597&ref=acom Polly/Mollye appears to have been his first wife (d. 1940).

OH OH - Ruth Marie Hurlbert, 20s, 1920s

Having a relative submit DNA for testing is a very good idea. All of the big DNA genealogy companies offer sales this time of the year too. As for date of birth - it is not unusual for a DOB to be off by 2-5 years in records over the course of a lifetime. This is based on my research into...
