My wife does languages. She suggested the word precipitation in Spanish would be a quicker or reckless fall - not being thrown!
(Disclaimer; there are other linguists!)
With the autopsy now in, and confirmation of injuries consistent with a fall, Brad and Lucy’s testimony: off road and lost, can we put this one to bed as death by misdadventure - please. ❤️❤️❤️ RIP Jay...
There a number of us on here that would have done the same, it's not unusual for a young man to make poor choices, he thought he could walk it, explored around, got lost and tragically fell. It's a very common way to pass away whilst out hiking. As recent news has clearly demonstrated. The...
Some interesting posts in the last hour so.
Perhaps we are also underestimating just how far he could have walked? Much of the terrain in entirely passable and there are many established and slightly less trodden paths up there. Looking at the established paths, there are over 30 miles worth...
Unlikely.
The motives and rationale of why Jay went with the chaps to the AirBNB has been discussed in depth and doesn’t really lead to any concrete version. As someone that may have partied as a young man, I can see Jay going back to the AirBNB for a host of legitimate reasons, here are some...
I did wonder the same. I know that research shows liars don’t tend to drift into too much detail though. I’m not sure where I’ve read it, but I’ve seen something about Jay not having any cigarettes left. So, that detail would reinforce that, but not sure to what ends?
Edit: grammar
He said that whilst moving the car he saw Jay in the rear view mirror. Which implies Jay came out of the property whilst he was moving the car…so I guess the owner also saw him moving the car?
Thanks for sharing this. Very interesting. He still thinks Jay went off and got lost - so he does have some sense! I do like the fact he wants to build a map of the searches to date, great idea.
I’m wondering if not being able to ‘… go back there…’ was down to something else rather than him being scared? He may of just wanted to leave? Nothing to do there…he was hungry, no food etc. Is it being surmised he was scared, or did he state he was scared? It reads the former to me.
Also...
Brad puts him off road, before Jay spoke with Lucy. He suggested he was sliding down a hill. So, not on a path. So, it is entirely feasible he was walking in and around cacti - hence his cactus cut. Having done a far a bit of walking both off and on-trail, there have been times when I’ve been in...
Indeed. We could suggest that Jay cellotaped his phone to a lizard…? He has no basis at all for stating that. Just a theory, like the lizard and cellotape theory.
