IMO, Murder-for-hire cases are very hard to solve. In some cases a person's alibi is almost too perfect. Things that happen after the murder tell a story and show the motive. It's sad that this will probably never get solved. There's a famous saying that goes like this..."It's not what you know...
The judge and the state of Nebraska should be embarrassed. How do you let a criminal like this bring a shank into the courtroom? He's a coward and doesn't want to be in the courtroom. Like many cases, I'm expecting another suicide attempt.
I don't remember him ever saying that he thought it was a police vehicle. I know the police didn't really believe him, and had him take a lie detector test to determine if that is really what he saw. He explains at 3:00 on this video.
My gut makes me think a former client or coworker was very angry with her. It was planned on real estate showing because it is work related. He may have used an accent because he had talked to her before. He would have already had her phone number.

An interesting thing is how the sketch from the Delphi murders looks much like someone that used social media to murder Sydney Loofe. He would have driven by the Vermillion area, since he has links to Sioux Falls. I know he traveled a lot, but don't recall any links to Indiana.
