That's not GA law. I didn't see where they quoted (cited) anything about Federal law so it wouldn't apply here.

With 100% respect- this is just now how LE works. I was a prosecutor in Clayton County for a bit and practiced criminal law my entire legal career. LE doesn't have the $$/resources and for many other reasons, they just wouldn't hatch this plan in real life. I just don't want anyone to think...

Just a random thought....I watched a documentary last night where this guy just voluntarily went missing. He had committed some minor crime but felt like he was an embarrassment to his family, etc. He was 24. I had the thought that had his parents said, thru the media, "look no hard feelings if...

BTW-stopping at numerous gas stations in one day isn't that unusual to me. My husband will stop and get diet coke and then 2 hours later a candy bar. And he works full time and is carting kids around half the time.

So, there not any prints in the car. Does anyone know if that means the car was wiped clean of prints or that any of the prints that were found were of known prints? I probably should know this-but unless a car is wiped clean there will be some finger prints, right?

I'm sure UK and USA LE are different. People are taken into WP-but it is very rare because it is very $$$ and LE won't spend that kind of money/ take that risk unless there is a huge payoff-I just can't imagine this is one of the case. While I don't practice law anymore-I did and for a while...

That is an interesting view. To me, I don't know if it'd be worth it. She'd have to have a ton of info about something very important. She'd have to be a major player in a major enterprise. Were she that person, she wouldn't have been working in a relatively low-wage job in the last year.

I just brought up the Autism org because I think that would help it get more PR. Anything at this point. It is weird to me that it's not on the news more. But I'm not an expert-maybe it's normal.

It is insane to me that they haven't found at least her car. It makes me fear there are sophisticated parties involved? Maybe not-but if she was just driving around- the tag would shown up. If it hasn't been considered already-is there a way an Autism support agency would get involved and help...

My debit card does not give that kind of detail at all. And sometimes it will say "signature purchase" when there was no signature involved.

This is the first time I've ever even read a post thread and you all seem to be so versed-it's amazing. Hopefully LE has read. It keeps being said that "there hasn't been much coverage" and I agree-I live in the same town. For those of you who have much more experience than myself- is it...

If it helps- Re: lying to LE: A person can be charged with a crime if they lie about a material fact to ANY law enforcement agency. There wouldn't be a distinction between local LE or Federal. There are different laws that define different ways that that law can be broken-false statement etc...

I live in the area. Was at the Decatur Y tonight- the flyer for info about her was at the front desk-in a frame. You can't miss it. The info on it looked correct. Not sure why I'm posting other than to say something positive. My heart aches for her family. :(

Re: transparency- I'm curious as to all the hush-hush about her life. How she told her family she was sleeping on a couch but was on the lease. Was she just a private person? Was she high-functioning but need assistance and resisted/resented it? Although aren't we all in need of guidance at the...

This is my first ever post-so forgive any errors. Regarding not being able to search her apartment- has the landlord been contacted? When is her rent due? Maybe soon b/c it is the 1st of the month. I am an attorney and used to do criminal law (I'm a stay at home mom now). I wonder how police...
