    Post verdict discussion of evidence

I would like to ask a question, in the hopes that someone here can clear my confusion. According to this article from WRAL, police found a Lowe's receipt for a drop cloth in Brad's car, and then 5 days later found a drop cloth in a Home Depot bag in Brad's garage. Now, that is either a...

So it isn't one of the two towers that was seized during the search of the Cooper's home?

Cisco wouldn't have a record. If Brad had a computer, the router, and an FXO card, he had all he needed to create his own home network. In order to believe that the call would show up on Cisco's logs, you'd have to believe that every customer of Cisco has to run their calls through Cisco's...

    2011.05.04 Verdict Watch

You are correct that google maps isn't always up to date, but I don't think anyone thinks Brad was looking for a site during this search. I am certain that isn't the first time he had seen that area.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-28-2011

What is Cisco guy thought to be bringing to court? If he testifies that a router log shows BC's computer was accessed via a remote connection on July 15th, that would go a long way toward rebutting JW's testimony regarding all the "potential security issues" on BC's network. Especially if it...

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-28-2011

I'm pretty sure the ADA said today that the Cisco guy the state wants to call is on their witness list. I'm also pretty sure the judge made a point to tell the ADA that he better be able to show that the Cisco guy's testimony is rebuttal and not new.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-28-2011

I don't think the times line up at all. The FL guy says he clocked in @ 7:24, and the spot where he claims he saw NC was > 5 miles away from his store, IIRC. RZ says she's sure it was 7:10, and 7:10 is the absolute latest FL guy could have seen here to have any shot of a 7:24 clock in.

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-26-11

Why? If we knew he had access to a gun, and NC was shot, but we couldn't find the gun he'd still be a strong suspect. Why isn't it the same with the computer equipment? Am I remembering wrong or was there a totally wiped desktop computer in the house?

    State v Bradley Cooper 4-26-11

In order to believe BC did it, all you have to believe is that he faked a phone call and left no trace of it. Since that is his job, that isn't hard to believe, IMO. In order to believe that anyone else did it, you have to believe that a fairly large number of odd things inside the Cooper...

I was going to mention Lilly ADkins Road in the affidavit, rather than the actual name, which is Lilly Atkins.

Didn't Brad say he was vacuuming the car because of gas he spilled a week or two earlier?? That's the unusual part to me, not the use of the ShopVac. ncsu95 - I don't understand your thinking. On the one hand, you say BC is the "likely" murderer. On the other, you say he should have his...

Yeah, that cracked me up. He had just finished with an unprovoked string of "I have no recollection of..." answers to questions that I suppose he knew the attorney would ask. I just couldn't imagine not remembering at least some of what he claims to have forgotten. He had to "guess" that...

So, he had one sexual encounter with HM, in his house, and can't remember what time of year it occurred? Or what time of day? He had one other "sexual contact" in the house, and can't remember who (if anyone) was in the house at the time it occurred? Or where in the house it occurred? Yet...

The way the custody case has gone really bothers me. I can't imagine a scenario where I, as an innocent husband whose wife was just brutally murdered, let anyone take my children without a fight. I know you're supposed to listen to your lawyers, but I I am not 100% convinced that BC did...

    Relationships

I now realize that when you told me more than a year ago that two of the people in your group of friends were having an affair that it was Brad, wasn't it? This is the quote from one of the blogposts about the affairs. This could very well be a reference to the BC-HM affair.

The psych. eval. could actually be a very interesting test. If he wants his kids, and passes the test to prove he's stable, would he then be able to claim psychological problems if he eventually went to trial for the murder**? The results of a psychological test could not work to his...

FYI, I just checked my own tax records, and it shows '07 and '08 info for our house and one car. We have a second car, but it isn't listed in the online information for whatever reason. So, the X5 not being listed doesn't necessarily mean anything.

If Nancy's cell phone was in the house or the car, couldn't Brad have used it to call Carey? It seems that Nancy would probably have had her number. I just read the separation agreement for the first time, and I have to say that it reads like possible motive. $2100/month for child support...

ruflossn, They keep the cause of death quiet so that if someone in an interview (interrogation) slips up and says the way she was killed, there are only a couple of ways they could have that information. Either they did it, or they have talked to the person that did it.

FD, Welcome! (even though I'm basically new myself) Your jacket, by itself, wouldn't necessarily cause any alarm. 15 years ago, I was the grocery manager for a 24hr store, which meant a lot of overnights. Everyone was taught to see everyone who entered the store. Someone in a light...
