Millions of things are facts. Most of them are irrelevant to this case.

Rather, I see a scenario where someone is bereft and unhappy, and is comforted and cuddled by a kind and sympathetic neighbour .....

Pretty much everything is explained if you assume the events take place in his flat.

Not in her flat. But what about in his?

I'm with you there, Snoopster. No need to go for convoluted, farfetched theories when there's a nice simple scenario staring us in the face!

I think the scaffolding and screening is just to hide the police activity from the public gaze and from the media, tbh.

He would be the first person on my list, tbh. One of the few people who could move between his home & the victim's home without being noticed. Possibly someone gave him an alibi which has now been withdrawn? Or it simply took time to accumulate the evidence.

Why, thank you! Nice to have some support, it seems a reasonable theory to me.

I remember that post, and I thought he meant that the person was older than most people expect from the description 'student'; and not that his age precluded him from being a suspect.

OK, but it doesn't strike me as something that would fill them with such despair and dread as they showed. Whereas if a long, body-shaped bag was unaccountably missing ...

I don't understand - 42 is still a single family home, not flats. It has planning permission for conversion to four flats, which may be currently underway. I understand that 44 was first converted into four flats, and then into the current seven flats at a later date, so when would there have...

In the case of someone living with their parents, that might be so, but for someone who had lived away for two years, I wouldn't expect parents (even mum) to know every garment. Just as new items can be bought at any time, so can they be discarded. What I think they noticed - I posted this...

I feel that some people are over-thinking this. I will stick with the simple explanations as they are most often the right ones.

The whole building used to belong to Clifton College and was used as staff accommodation. Some flats were sold off to retired staff, inc Mr Jefferies' flat and (I believe) the two top floor flats. I understand that Mr Jefferies owns both the basement flats. It's on record that he bought JY/GR...

There are three people there. What is the context of this clip, does anyone know? The CV photo is some years old, he looks older on the Stonehenge pic.

No one needs to have "sold him out" , all this was freely available on the internet for those who cared to look for it. I was curious from the start about who else lived in the two houses (42 & 44) and did some research. I haven't seen anything today that is new to me.

No need for this, all that's required was for killer to take her boots back to her flat, along with her key, bag and whatever she had taken with her. This is a similar scenario to the one Nausicaa offered recently.
