I think the likeliest explanation is that the video is a key piece of evidence and they expect it to be shown someday to a jury who has never seen it before.
If they thought releasing the video could elicit valuable information, I'd imagine it would have been released already.
There are definitely no IU facilities or classes held in Martinsville. It's a 'larger' Indiana town (has some strip malls and fast food joints near the highway), but still rural.
Regarding the start and end times of the NBA finals that night--as has been mentioned before, lots of people (younger people especially) watch sports on DVR. You can start later and fast forward through all the commercials. And since that particular game had such a thrilling finish, it's...
It's a weird tweet in that I think he meant to put the # before the cornedbeef so that twitter would sort it with all the other tweets about cornedbeef. But if he was hanging out with JR & co. he was probably hungover, so it's a reasonable error.
Also no tweets for 4 days afterwards, but...
I'm pretty sure they're getting that from the guy's twitter feed. He tweeted something about being at a Bloomington restaurant on June 3rd (which would be after any events of the early morning.
Fall Creek is in the middle of Indy practically (though it's not a metropolis like Chicago or larger cities). It seems strange someone would drive from Bloomington into the heart of Indianapolis to dispose of a body when there are so many rural areas in-between. My bet would be the missing...
I don't see the need for a cover story that accounts for LS until 4:30 if she never makes it to 5 North. If JR has nothing to do with the disappearance other than to cover for some friends, then he must have something HUGE at stake to allow the spotlight to be put on him and his parents on the...
My feeling is that parents in this case will protect their children even if they know some or part of the story, imo. Especially in this case, where LS' intoxicated condition that night (if true) gives parents of a potential body-disposer a moral 'out'--i.e. this is tragic but the girl made...
Does anyone know how they serve search warrants if the renter is out of town? Or could it be that CR, MB & JW have agreed to searches without a warrant?
JR & his lawyers may not be agreeing to searches without a warrant. Which might mean that LE doesn't have enough evidence to get one.
Or...
Yes. I think they'll thank Bloomington and all the searchers and BPD, and say they're going back to NY to be with family during the grieving process. Sad.
ETA: I hadn't seen that, epiphany. Looks like I'm wrong.
As I posted earlier today in this thread, I lean heavily toward a stranger abduction at this point. BUT--JW does not have a rock-solid alibi. He has roomies saying they 'knew' he went to bed. But they were all at the house and watching the basketball game and likely drinking some beers and...
One thing I've been asking myself is: if it WAS a random/stranger abduction and the current POIs had nothing to do with LS' disappearance, how would you expect the POIs to act? Unfortunately, I think they would be acting about the same as they have been so far. If they had all been at a pep...
Wow. E 9th street is NOT the opposite side of town. It really is a ten minute walk from Smallwood. Sorry. The opposite side of town would be Smith Road or something. It's not the opposite side of town.
Regarding the question of why POI haven't been arrested for assault--simple assault (one or two punches) is a pretty weak charge unfortunately and LE probably doesn't think it's worth wasting it on a major POI. Most simple assault charges don't go anywhere.
