You know, you are absolutely correct; I had forgotten about that story, and I remember thinking that her reaction was so bland, she had to be involved in some way. I felt terrible about that later on. Thanks for the reminder about prejudging; I needed that.

GA - Suspicion over heat death of Cooper, 22 mo., Cobb County, June 2014, #13

Cobb County is pretty conservative. IMHO, at the very least his lawyers would try to move the trial to DeKalb or Fulton Counties, also in the Atlanta area. However, I don't think venue will ever be an issue because he will plea out waaaay before then.

I checked the Cobb County court calendar; there is nothing showing for any future court date yet. http://www.cobbsuperiorcourtclerk.org/courts/CRCalendar.htm Also, I thought it was interesting when I looked at the Cobb County jail site, that JRH has no attorney of record. I wonder if Maddox...

Well, that was fun.... I just did a Google search of images for men's bathrooms in Marietta. I quit looking after the first 50. I'm terrified to dream tonight. :(

Under the circumstances, if I were her landlord I'd be jumping for joy that she wanted to leave quickly. She is no doubt having a lot of very angry visitors, not to mention the world press, and that's potentially physically destructive, not to mention just plain unsettling and intrusive for the...

JRH and LH are an odd and unlikable pair (to say the least), but I swear I can't understand how anyone would be that dumb to say, "Did you say too much" with the police standing there. I REALLY would love to see the whole context of this question. Another thing I've been wondering...

The inappropriate relationship (sexting) with minor

LOL. I'm the original poster on that. I can't really blame my misunderstanding on a misplaced comma--I've just been waaay too sheltered for a long time :).

I was surprised chewing gum was allowed in the courtroom. I have a chronic facial pain issue and chewing gum is one of the few things that temporarily helps it. It hasn't been fun the couple of times I've been in traffic court for hours without my precious Trident.

This is probably way off base, but I wonder if there may have been some kind of TV program on in the weeks before Cooper's death that may have fueled the parents' thinking. I keep thinking about an old Law and Order episode where the mother put her living baby in an incinerator, thinking he'd...

GA - Suspicion over heat death of Cooper, 22 mo., Cobb County, June 2014, #10

I worked from home for a long time, but I still had a strict schedule and was heavily supervised from the main office. If I was away from my computer for more than 15 minutes, I'd get a phone call asking me where I was. I was also paid only for work I produced (not hourly). I wouldn't be...

I struggle with this issue but I'd probably take out a policy and then instantly forget about it. The harsh reality is, that in addition to funeral expenses, there may well be associated major hospital expenses involved. My opinion may well be colored by the fact that I worked in patient...

Just wondering....does the defense have a right to evidence discovery before a probable cause hearing? (BTW, I took a loooong vacation after the JA trial. It's nice to see so many familiar names on WS, though it for sure is a horrendous crime to follow :(

KatieCoolady Holds 'Court' - The Dedicated KCL Thread

My sister is having a tough time and is still finding her way with all this, Katie. Thank you for asking about her. It has been helpful for me personally to hear the stories and the share in the hopefulness of you and many of the other posters here.

KatieCoolady Holds 'Court' - The Dedicated KCL Thread

I will NEVER forget my personal lesson learned from the Scott Peterson trial, that having attorney dream teams doesn't always work. My brother-in-law had been savagely killed by someone who deliberately drove his hijacked car back and forth over his head several times, to the point that he had...
