Yes, that's very possible, but crazy strange that they didn't catch anything on tape, if that's the case. It's not much further than the gas station (220 St. Landry) and there were people out and about (in view... long view, but view) and there are a few buildings in a row that might have...

I think we have some confusion here because the two pictures of the car are shown in the wrong order. I think the first time a camera picks up the car, it's headed South on University, past the cemetery. You can see the mismatched white back panel. I think then the car hangs a right...

I don't think so -- I think the car is heading South on University, and then hangs a Right (West) on St. Landry, passing the gas station on their left and coming up behind Mickey. If she was still on the road at that point, they absolutely would've seen her.

Look, from my perspective, there's no way in heck she (or anyone) is sitting on the tailgate. The truck is about to turn left onto University, a major North/South thoroughfare with a speed limit of, what? 45 in town and hitting 55 shortly thereafter? It's not a slow, meandering road through...

Has anyone posited yet that the kidnapper(s) picked Mickey up without her bike, and then came back and picked up her bike later, perhaps after dropping Mickey off somewhere? It's not totally unlikely, given that there are many hours between her disappearing and anyone noticing her missing...

It looks like it was taken from a private house or business at or around 224 St. Landry, just a block or so past the gas station, headed away from University. There's a two-story apt. building across the street that can be made out if you "stand" in that spot on Google Street View. I don't...

I think the picture of the truck with the bed liner (the one that we seem to agree is driving N on University past the cemetery) shows the same truck as the picture that was released last night. If you look closely at the initial picture, it's very possible that the "person in the truck" that...

Yeah, it looks like the camera may have been from Southwest Loans and Insurance (or another building in the same plaza) if that helps y'all with google mapping.

Agreed, though they very well may have seen something - any info about her whereabouts past that intersection would be useful, since we know nothing beyond there. By the looks of the car, it's likely a lower-income person (around that area of town, very possibly a person of color) who may well...

I can see how they would sound scary, but first off, they're mostly open -- you can see into them for a really long way. They pass under roads, but they're so deep that I think at most overpasses, it would be impossible for someone to, say, hide in the coulee under the road and then climb up...

That page doesn't give an exact definition of it, as it applies here. Basically, a coulee is a large, cement-lined drainage ditch. They're usually about 10 feet deep and several feet wide. They're required for drainage because the water table at this elevation is almost at ground level, so...

Looks like that truck has vertical rear door handles. The "truck of interest" has black or dark horizontal door handles.

Sorry, I didn't see this post until I'd already posted. That explains it. I hope someone has been through there; if every teen in town knows about it (which they apparently do!) then I'd think SOMEONE would've checked, right?

But the coulee stops at that point (where St. Louis hits St. Landry) and runs underground. I'm not sure if it's possible to ride into that spot, or if you'd have to crawl in (is there a wide pipe?) or if it's not possible to get in at all (is there a grate?) I literally have no idea what the...

I know they searched the hospital and garage extensively earlier this week (Tuesday, maybe?), but it's hard to say how thoroughly they searched the coulee or the drainage system. At that point, they were still running on the assumption that she had ridden home on Congress or possibly Souvenir...

When you say the "gutter," do you mean the Coulee (big drainage ditch)? There's nothing visible, I assume?

We don't know for sure which order these two pictures went in, right? Nor do we know whether that's the only time a white truck passed that camera. There are a few possibilities there. It takes a fair bit of time to fill up your tank. Usually at that time of night, you have to go in and pay...

It's confuzzling, no question. And it just HAD to be in the Saints, right? She took St. Whatwhat to St. Whowho? Shouldn't she have taken St. Somebody to St. Someoneelse? No way, St. Someoneelse crosses St. Whowho, and St. Whatwhat parallels it. Gah. :banghead:

Certainly possible. There's a stoplight at St. Landry/John, though, and there isn't one at Parkside. That would be my personal inclination for a nighttime crossing, were I on a bike; perhaps I'd choose differently during the day. It's truly not a massive detour, though. As I mentioned...

Well, sure, though she wasn't sick enough to ask for a ride home, nor was she sick enough that she didn't have an appetite or something (Taco Bell is hardly gentle on the system, and not often the first choice of someone who's feeling deeply ill). But I (gently and respectfully) think...
