You are right McSpy that the boyfriend's family paid for her cell 'phone service BUT in the show 'Disappeared' they specifically say that the call left on his mobile that morning was from a pre-paid card as the number was untraceable when they tried to call it back...and that MM was known to...
Working out how far away MM could get a cell 'phone signal may be misleading as the boyfriend's mother made a big point of saying that MM used a pre-paid card not her cell - which I (maybe mistakenly) have understood to mean that she used either a pay 'phone or a regular landline to make the...
Hello Everyone. This is my first post about MM. My husband and I watched Disappeared the other evening and MM's story has been on my mind ever since. I have read through a number of posts but not all so please excuse me for any repetition etc.
The programme mentioned that there was a message...
Any possibility that someone else was involved?
Could a 2nd or even more people have enabled the faster disposal of AJ's remains. :(
I guess that has been ruled out by forensics but trying to think why a walkie talkie...or was it just a mobile 'phone?
Morning! :) Only valid if he put his recycling bins out weekly. We might look like we use a lot of bottles (!) but we only put ours out when it's eventually full. Takes a long while. Perhaps he had a house warming! :)
I was wondering if the third charge was also to pre-empt the possibility/ likelihood that they will never find AJ and to put the blame of that very firmly on the shoulders of the accused from the outset.
If it's a black and white situation and he is the person who created that situation then yes, I agree. However, we have NO idea of how and why....and also, if it was down to him, perhaps the shock of not being able to see his children made him grow up and take responsibility for those children...
It's seems to be a way of life in some areas - not specific to him. Also, it takes two to...ahem...tango, so are the women he had those children with also guilty of something other than questionable choices? It seems to me that in the main, he was doing his best to be a father and to be...
Hmm. Not sure he is very promiscuous. He's a 46 year old man who has had a series of long term relationships. How many do we know about? 3 or 4? Seems that many of those connected with him have similar relationship histories and have children with previous partners or have had more than one...
Gosh. Am I the only person who thinks it odd that there have been three specific child abduction attempts in a fairly small part of Wales within 8 weeks (including AJ), where the vehicle described exactly matches the original description given out, i.e. a small white van?
Yes, MB may be...
On the other hand...it seems that that area of Wales has more than it's fair share of attempted and child abductions by men in small white vans in the past 8 weeks, at least one of which then turned out to be a dark blue Land Rover and all being investigated by the same force. Very unpleasant...

Attempted abduction of a boy 75 miles from Mach - by a man in a small white van yesterday.
If MB's answer was no to Q1, perhaps it took him only a moment to answer and the police did not believe him. Perhaps he has absolutely no verifiable alibi. What if he did not use his 'phone or switch it on, was not seen by his neighbours and just went home, ate something, watched a dvd and...
I agree with what you have said...and also want to add that we ONLY have a 7 year old's word for what AJ did or didn't say, along with whether she did or didn't get into a car...on what side...and so on....
However, the 7 year old and possibly also a 5 year old witness clearly couldn't identify the vehicle. Was it a van? Was it a car? Was it light? Was It dark? Did AJ get in one side, or was she lifted in? Based on the description the police gave out, that Toyota could just as easily be the car...
Please can I just confirm, that apart from a 7 year old girl, NO ONE AT ALL actually saw April ever get into ANY car whether dark, white or with pink spots?
