Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #23

That's all that's available for a company who claims to have been around since 2003? It's not adding up - plus their own site has ZERO details - no tech details on projects, no about the company directors or scientists, no press releases - nada. I call BS.

right, and following the leads in that, I still come up with zilch, except that pavel Kursa was a programmer at Minelabs and probably met up with Carl Dorsch through that, since Dorsch is a prospector of sorts.

OK, I have done a little digging because the Georesonance claims sound dubious to me at best, based upon my career in this field. I also worked for an Australian imaging company primarily involved in exploration (oil, gas, minerals). The images in the press releases and on their site, frankly...

Curious as to how you conclude that Georesonance is not a fly by night company? They look like one to me.

Malaysia Airlines 370 *MAPS & TIMELINE REFERENCE ONLY*

Hey there, I've been Awol but I saw someone asking questions about scale and satellite images on the previous thread - sorry, I don't know how to snip from a closed thread. I just wanted to comment on the scale of the aircraft that was in the tomnod photograph. Don't be fooled by that scale -...

Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #20

the 'bug's butt" photos were from aerial drones - satellites just don't have that kind of resolution. Additionally the objects in the ocean are not stationary, which adds a great deal of complexity to the ability to reference and identify the objects. Further to that is that color shifts in...

Don't know if I am allowed to post this? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4a/Malaysia_Airlines_B777-200ER_economy_cabin.jpg

seems oblong to me - and does resemble the green seats in coach but with no other objects it's impossible to gauge the scale and size of the object. Could be anything? plane related? not plane related. gack.

Reading this reminded me of a parent who felt bad about telling their child there is no Santa Claus.

Thanks :D you're right, and perhaps social media just makes them more visible to folk like me.

OMG, I am fervently hoping that the pax were blissfully unaware of what was occurring.

yup, I just don't think they should, that's all. And no it's not ALL the media's fault but can you imagine the pressure to release something? anything? hordes of people on social media claiming all kinds of conspiracies, etc? I don't imagine that MAL is used to being in that kind of glaring...

this is probably going to be unpopular but... I don't think that they should be sharing info up to the minute, it takes time to collect and analyze data and their primary concern, doubtless, is narrowing the search and positively identifying objects that can lead to the discovery of the...

Pine gap doesn't have any imaging satellites does it? I thought it was all sigint.

I think they are more concerned with finding the bulk of the aircraft than the floating debris. If the crash was on the 8th, floating debris could have travelled quite a ways away and who knows how long it took debris to surface and float after the crash, if in fact it went down largely intact. That wouldn't be necessary since the imagery is georeferenced, they have the coordinates for each object they've spotted. I'm sure they are using them on the SAR boats. It's just moving! What they need is real-time! wouldn't that be awesome?

That doesn't make sense to me since the satellites don't require Ground Control Points (GCP) they use onboard GPS and star trackers You can task them for any area you like, provided you can position the satellite at the correct time and don't have cloud cover (which has been a problem with this AOI)

I agree completely. And call me naive, but I still believe that there was a catastrophic mechanical issue and casting aspersions on two dead pilots with no evidence is cruel.

they don't normally release info mid-investigation do they? and perhaps there are privacy concerns? The personal info that has already been floated on social media is disturbing.
