Yes. So many young women experience sexual assault in this way and don't report it. Hannah's story (up until her disappearance) is so familiar. Young intoxicated girl, who is easy to take advantage of, going home with a guy, who seems to be ready to do just that. The difference, of course, is...
All I can say is that I'm thanking the Lord for my college sisters. They stopped me from leaving a party and wandering on streets downtown at least once after a few bad decisions...just a reminder that we need to look out for each other.
But saying that someone looks manipulative or guilty is not analyzing body movements. I'm fine with talking about him shaking his head or looking down.
Here's where I'm coming from --
For the most part, this guy was immediately considered the main suspect by the public (for good reason, I...
I really wonder what Christina's plans were for the night. Was she really planning to drive all the way to Fort Worth at 4am to see a guy that she was fighting with? If it were me, I would crash with someone nearby and drive home the next day. Maybe her phone records will provide more insight...
Thanks for the side-by-side! Yes, the tattoos gave me pause as well. However the body conditions for the UID are listed as not recognizable, and the post mortem interval is weeks. I was thinking that the UID may have been so badly decomposed that tattoos were not visible. What do you all think?
Wow. Ludmila looks like a very strong possibility. Any luck contacting the investigators about her? What about contacting her daughter?
I'm not sure if she's been mentioned before, but Leslie Mears seems like a decent possiblity:

Perhaps she ran...
What about Ada Odell?

It's a bit of a stretch because she's from FL and the UID was found in CA. It sounds like her boyfriend was missing for a few weeks after her disappearance, perhaps they could have traveled to FL during this time...
Thanks for the timeline - very helpful. So we've tossed around the idea that Shane was at the scene when the police arrived, but something happened to him that the police possibly witnessed. According to the timeline, there would have only been a window of 4 or 5 minutes for this to happen -...
In terms of the phone pinging, since his phone did not have a GPS function, does that mean that the tracking ability was limited? I'm thinking that maybe they know what tower it was pinging from, but the radius covered by that tower is so large that they can't search the entire radius.
Am I...
Alright. Here's the crash report. I blacked out personal information and names including Shane's name just to be safe and to respect everyone's privacy. PLEASE let me know if I missed anything.
There's some interesting stuff in there. Note that the report said the weather was clear, which...

Also, I looked for the crash in the Louisana statewide crash report system (https://crashreports.dps.louisiana.gov/ladpsecom/SearchCrashes.ts?m=search), and it appears that it's not in the system.
Does anyone have the accident/crash report (not the 911 transcript)? I seem to remember it being posted somewhere in the thread but now I can't find it.
Wow! These coordinates were very helpful. Unless he climbed a barbed wire fence, it looks like the easiest way out of the accident scene would be moving towards the bridge.
It's my understanding that LE got to the accident scene before Brett. If this is the case, I think it's possible that Shane was waiting for his brother by the car but ran off when he heard sirens coming.
Anyway, I don't think that it sounds the family contaminated the scene. It sounds like...
So nice to see so many people talking about Shane's case. It's always been one that's stuck with me.
I ditto the questions about the 911 call, cell pings, and windshield wipers. It seems like we're missing some key info.
As for the bit about the accident possibly involving two cars, I googled...
