The Amway connection explains everything. ;-)

I wasn't at all off the mark as to who this terrorist was targeting. After info on him has come out.
I was just starting to wonder if he was younger than an angry, divorced misogynist.
And someone that had spent a lot of time at home, but why? ( Homeschooling). BINGO.
I was off about thinking he wouldn't have risked taking bombs to fed ex himself, knowing he could be identified, but his age makes more sense for him to take that risk. ( It's why car insurance is higher for males up to age 25)
I still believe bomb #4 was set up for specific targets. He knew who would go to that spot. But they were white, not like the others. Which makes me still believe they were targeted for being gay.

GREAT CALL I think he proved himself

A kid who is home schooled all the way through high school has been living every day in a cloistered environment. They can't help but have some deficiencies in social skills. That environment inherently breeds a feeling of distrust towards others who aren't in your church and small social circle. Having spent some time visiting a home where teen kids were home schooled it seemed a very restrictive environment for healthy young people growing up. They went to church functions but didn't watch or read anything other than religious programming and religion based educational materials. I can't help but think these kids have an exaggerated fear of the outside world and an inability to connect with others. The whole concept of homeschooling for some of these families is the belief that you need to be educated and live your life in this manner because everyone else in the outside world is living their lives and doing things badly. You go out with them on rare public trips and they're hesitant to look at or talk to people.

It just doesn't seem healthy at all for kids to spend years growing up in that environment. Trying to integrate into society and the world of work must be very difficult for many of them. They're moving into a world full of people they've been taught are bad, dangerous, sinful. Most probably make it ok, but some obviously don't.

Exactly. Learning that and looking for things in the news to reinforce those ideas as lessons.

Learning that you and your family are better.

What in the heck is the justfying of sex offenders? He is rigid on other issues but forgiving of that. Has to be personal somehow. Friend, family member. Himself?

An affluent neighborhood, maybe he assumed homosexual couples lived there?

I think that would take awhile. The cases I read often involve teens who commit violent acts have attended public schools...not home schooled.

I would guess there are far more teens who have committed violent crimes who attended a public school.

But I do agree, that never seems to be stressed when it almost always is when the suspect was home schooled. I don't understand why that is though since more and more children are being home schooled, and are excelling much more than they are becoming people like this bomber.

The ones I know who have been home schooled are very smart and very social with great verbal communication with many partaking in social/sports events at a nearby high school. They are also able to obtain well paying jobs too.

I really don't think him being home schooled years ago has one thing to do with how he turned out at the age of 23. JMO

I do wonder if he was being homeschooled because of behavioral problems.

They are but when they go back and forth and both houses are blocked off it's easy (at least for me) to get confused.

Agree! The one that the FBI was busting the windows looks way diff than the one first shown as parents home. Plus address given out that is now blurred on 2nd street is also blue (as FBI busting windows). Then we have the Mayors video at the end on 2nd street. JMHO blue house where MAC lives now.

JMHO Parents home >>MAC parents home.JPG

Home FBI busted windeows JMHO MAC home >>MAC FBI break windows.JPG
Again JMHO MAC blue home FBI at MAC blue house.jpg

Wonder if his sister will apply for the $115,000 reward?

Anyone familiar with Austin Stone Community Church on St. Johns Ave.?

I wonder why they blur it out? It only makes it more obvious.

How do we know his sister turned him in? Is there a link?

Authorities had been monitoring Conditt for about 24 hours before his death, Abbott said.

He said authorities were tipped to Conditt because his cell phone information was connected to several of the bombing sites. Authorities used cell-site analysis and high-tech computing systems that can find patterns of callers in certain areas, NBC News reported. Hours before police attempted to pull over Conditt, he turned on his cell phone, which allowed authorities to track his location, according to NBC.

The investigation was bolstered by video footage from a FedEx store and other purchases, as well as the location of Conditt's vehicle at several locations associated with the bombings, Abbott said. A man believed to be Conditt entered a FedEx facility wearing what appeared to be a blonde wig and dropped off packages.

NBC News also reported that "exotic" batteries ordered online from Asia helped lead authorities to Conditt. Multiple senior law enforcement officials told NBC News that the unusual batteries used in the explosives were the signature trait that allowed investigators to so quickly link the various explosions to the same man.

These tips helped identify him and authorities honed in on Conditt's home.
Abbott said he was not aware of any public tips that had led to the arrest.

Pflugerville city officials tweeted at 11:30 a.m. that City Hall was closed and residents near downtown had been evacuated.

The Conditt family home features a gray picket fence and an American flag. The neighborhood dates back to the 1850s, the settling of this small Austin suburb.

RBBM do you have a link for this? I don't see anything saying it is of your opinion. A member here, on the prior thread knows the 2 victims from tripwire and said this was not true. How would this person know exactly who would trip the bomb? It has been stated multiple times this was a busy area.

Jay Schulze, who has lived in Pflugerville for 13 years, says he was out jogging when he was stopped by police and asked about the bombings Tuesday night. He said there was a large police presence in his neighborhood overnight.

Police flew drones over what he described as a rundown, "weird house with a lot of people coming and going" from about 9 p.m. until about 3 a.m.

Sigh. Still waiting for the day when I come to Websleuths and see a "public school" opinion posted when a crime is committed by one in the public education system.

I agree with this.

I homeschool, not for religious or special needs reasons. My kids are very social and well adjusted (if I do say so myself).

However...

I do know families like the families Betty is talking about. And . . .it’s alarming.

Just got an email from my kids' school that they won't be having recess or outside activities today because of the heavy police presence and activity in the area. Thank goodness.
News has been coming out so fast I can’t keep up.
First thing I thought of when I heard the location was you.

So happy people in Austin are safe now!

Wondering if media are already calling this "Quiet kid" "well behaved" "went to church", etc. as often happens when perpretators are not a person of color. Let's call him a criminal, a terrorist, that's what he is.

Sorry for his family, though

Exactly,
