I can't bear to read it again, I didn't sleep for weeks after it last time, every time I thought about it, I wanted to vomit.
Sad to say that I believe it's too late for the children to ever live a "normal" life, I don't think that a foster family would cope with the children and ever gain any ground but I hope and pray I am wrong.

Charlie Colt categorically denies the charges and says the DNA evidence is just wrong. I do agree with him in this quote below - why isn't he in jail? Does anyone have an update on this case? The Turpin case in the US has reminded me of the Colt's and it seems like after 2015 the whole story just kinda faded back into the crowd...

INFAMOUS incest family the Colts, who police found living in depraved circumstances in a filthy bush camp six years ago, have used Facebook to declare their love for each other as a family.
Matriarch Betty Colt has posted a picture of herself with family members with a superimposed message declaring “Love Makes a Family”.
Since they were split up by health and welfare authorities, members of the incest clan have continued to maintain contact via social media, at times with love hearts and wistful messages

EIGHT members of the “Colt” family have been arrested in three states over the alleged incest and sexual abuse of children.
The arrested family members will face court in Griffith, Adelaide and Perth later today.
Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad established Strike Force Hermoyne to investigate allegations of incest, child sexual assault, and serious neglect of children on the family’s farm in southern NSW in 2012.
The infamous family, who can only legally known as the Colts to protect the identity of the children, were found by police living in depraved circumstances in a filthy bush camp six years ago.
 
[h=3]Six years to build evidence[/h]Eight senior members of the clan were arrested on Thursday in NSW, South Australia and Western Australia, NSW Police said in a statement on Friday.
Detectives say it's taken six years to gather the DNA, forensic and witness evidence required to charge the core members.
The family matriarch, Betty Colt, is one of the alleged ringleaders to be flown into Sydney from Adelaide on Friday evening after NSW Police successfully sought the extradition of all six interstate suspects.

Yes and Its illegal for a very good reason. Known health issues do occur and the laws are written to protect potential future unborns.

Once it became proven over time that incest does cause deformaties and other major health issues then laws started to be created to prevent that from happening.

"Because the two of you have similar genes, any recessive abnormalities you have can be passed on more easily and expressed more visibly in your offspring. This also means that, even if you don't show any signs of genetic disorders yourself, your child may show incest-related genetic mutations.
