RZ is not helping his brother by any means. IMO

Did he just say that Tray told his Gf that he wasn't going to run but he was going to walk really SLOW? Implying that Tray crept up on GZ?

Does he believe the words coming out of his mouth?

Unbelievable.

That's the second time I heard the same thing from a Zimmerman surrogate. What Trayvon's girlfriend actually said was that he didn't want to run, but would walk FAST.

It does not appear to me that Trayvon pursued George in any way. If he would have stayed in the car and waited for the cops, this would not be happening. How did Trayvon pursue George?

Even if.....Is Punching someone in the nose "...deadly force....?.". Without him carrying a concealed weapon, even legal, this would not be happening. Something else maybe, but not a gunshot victim. "V"

ALL TOTALLY IMO! :maddening:

One thing also on the SYG law, is it can only be used if the person "is not engaged in an unlawful activity" at the time.

I've always thought that GZ was stalking Trayvon after he got out of the truck, and if the state can emphasize that there really was no reason for him to be following Trayvon, except profiling and maliciousness, therefore stalking him, that should prevent the SYG law from being applied to give GZ immunity.

IMO

The screams we hear on the 911 call areGZ's last breaths,as he is choking on blood, being beaten and his mouth being held shut?Huh?

I so totally agree! I imagined 1st degree murder; I do believe he fulfilled his fantasy. A young black kid? How perfect. And backed by his family always, cause daddy got him out of scrapes before. It was a prime moment.

Zimmerman has not anguished about it nor shown remorse. Ever. It's all about George.

Dr. Drew said GZ's Grandfather was a Police Commander. That was the first time I heard that. He and Nancy discussed whether that too could have played into the lack of an investigation and releasing him that night.

The prosecution will have to prove that GZ "willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly followed" Trayvon for stalking to be considered as an unlawful activity.
(3) Any person who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows, harasses, or cyberstalks another person, and makes a credible threat with the intent to place that person in reasonable fear of death or bodily injury of the person, or the person’s child, sibling, spouse, parent, or dependent, commits the offense of aggravated stalking, a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.

I was really surprised they arrested GZ. I have not been on here much the last few days.My son told me how they had to shut down the police station in Sanford which IMO terrible, should have arrested everyone involved.Still MO that when he goes before a judge he might still be protected under SYG.IMO They only did this to quiet the masses. It will be interesting to see the actual evidence.

I have no doubt the evidence will show the Prosecutor justified in bringing these charges.

I think GZ's attorney is a pretty sensible guy...Much less inflammatory than the previous attorneys...:twocents::moo:

Those guys, wow. I really think their presser was because they knew he was being charged and going with a different attorney and they wanted to come out looking like they quit rather than being fired. Disgraceful, IMO, what they said about their client.

Can you link to some kind of violent action or disturbing civil disobedience by the masses that forced the police to shut down the station?

I am so tired of watching him. Why do they keep having him on the programs? He says the same thing over and over and over. He acts like a know it all. JMO

Listening to the people Zimmerman calls his friend and family makes me unders6tand more about who Zimmerman is.

Following someone in the manner Zimmerman did would not be unlawful activity. Look, I know how the text of the law reads, but many legal eagles, including the authors of the bill turned law, believe it does not apply to someone initiating a confrontation and I think the fact that Cory decided to charge Zimmerman with 2nd degree murder allows us to infer that she does not think so either and is prepared to argue the point.

Thanks for the legal definition....IMO, that's exactly what GZ did to Trayvon: he was willful, malicious and continued to follow/stalk when he had several opportunities to stop, he was in fact advised to stop by LE, and we have proof from the tapes that Trayvon was in fear for his life and begging for help.

Of course, I have no idea if this is what the state will use if there is a hearing on the SYG immunity, there is sure to be more that they know and can use, but works for me.

If your right then the SA should have no problem taking this case to trial and then shooting down the SYG defense. And as far as I can see, a claim of self-defense is the only defense that GZ has. It could be a very easy win for the prosecution if your right.

Well, I don't claim to be right at all, lol, that's just my opinion about one way the state can fight the SYG claim to immunity. As gitana1 suggested there is also the confrontation started by GZ, and whatever else has come out of the AG's investigation.

I don't think this is an easy case but what I'm reading about this prosecutor, she wouldn't have filed these charges if she wasn't pretty sure the state has a good chance to win.

But she also represents the truth. Ethical prosecutors number one job is to ferret out the truth. So, what she said about being there for Zimmerman as well as Trayvon and his family, is supposed to be how it works.

Manslaughter is usually a lesser included so if they can't get 2nd degree, it's not over. I think the very fact of the governor appointing Cory was damage control but she has reputation for being very thorough and a real bull dog when necessary. I though she was very intelligent and careful with what she said. I agree with those who stated she took the case due to pressure but I don't think heavy charges are due to pressure. From what I have heard about this lady, she has a good reputation. This is not Orlando. And I would hope Florida has learned from that (although I do not believe they overcharged in that case, they just got a crummy jury).

Who the heck is FT?

Angela Corey is the prosecuter in the Christian Fernadez case which I never realized until now. I have not seen this mentioned in any reports of her I have seen on MSNBC or CNN. I think she is acting unethically and immorally in that case in charging a 13 year old that has suffered years of sexual and physical abuse as an adult. She is also costing the county of Duval with two separate trials for Christian.

She seems to have a very high conviction rate in her office, but is that due to overwhelming mostly public defenders by throwing the book at their clients? Time will tell if she overcharged, but I think she is trying to get a plea bargain which I hate in most instances. I think plea bargains are fine in moderation, but I think prosecutors abuse it in getting people to plead to charges that should go before a jury or defendants are forced into serving more time than justice would dictate.

CA was overcharged, and the jury was fine. However, we will have to agree to disagree on those issues.

Thanks for the response.

Just like Baez tried to use a high school pic of Casey in court during trial lol.

Yes and that stupid chair lowered to the floor.Amazing what defense tricks are allowed in a FL court room.
