This is part two of the July 28th, 2008 Fox report (I don't know if it has been posted). At about the 3:40 mark, Meagan F. asks Jose if he can confirm or deny reports that Casey borrowed the neighbors shovel, during the time that Caylee was missing. Jose's response is "that's incorrect, what happened is she borrowed the shovel before she moved out of the house". He then says the neighbor reported that Casey borrowed the shovel "around" the time Caylee went missing, but she was actually living at the home and "Caylee was not missing at the time". Ooops...

They go on to discuss the OCSO's attempts to talk to Jose with no success.

These were the first two interviews that got me interested and that told me that something, or "someone" (ie. Cindy) wasn't "right". One thing that bothers me, and it is a small thing, is that Cindy seems to be obsessed with Caylee's eyes. In practically every interview, she mentions about "those eyes". It just seems weird to me. Was Caylee just a pair of eyes to Cindy? "roll my eyes"

I am sorry if this has already been posted, but I can't for the life of me find the video that KC references in jail about Cindy not knowing what her involvement is. It would have had to been in the first few around her arrest July 15-18??

It's not actually a video, it's an audio recording of her first call home from jail. I can't link it for you because I cannot access youtube from here in my office, but search for her jail calls to home, it would be in the first one.

Unbelievable. I haven't seen that one before, Prudence, thanks for posting it. I loved the part where she says the cops are too late if they wanna go through any of Casey's stuff because she already put it all away. The audacity. The disrespect. The defiance. It's just SO FAR beyond ridiculous.

bolded by me - You are so right! Cindy is just ridiculous to me too. She complains that she doesn't even have her laptop and camera back from LE when she should be complaining that she doesn't even have her granddaughter back from her daughter. Also, amazed by the part where she talks about Lee being chased by the media. She says I'm outting you Channel 9 and I want those people reprimanded! lol - she thinks she's in charge of everyone!

I keep trying to have some sympathy for Cindy but then I see a video like this and remember how from the very beginning she seemed to care more about everything else that was going on than about Caylee being missing.

So telling! In these days, it is clear that the A's know KC is capable of 'doing something" to Caylee. This is why I thought from the beginning KC was guilty. I just don't know how Cindy went from this to the person she is now that is denying all evidence. It's like she snapped.

Casey does not sound like someone who is terrified of Cindy, quite the opposite. The first words out of her mouth were combative and she continued with that attitude (curse words and all) the entire time even though Cindy was trying to calm her down (even calling her sweetheart).

One of the neighbors witnessed an argument outside where Casey was yelling/cursing at Cindy before she went for a jog. I believe there were other neighbors who recounted similar stories (yelling, fighting, etc). Poor Caylee must have witnessed some pretty brutal arguments in that house of horrors. She had to have been terrified.

Plus, you don't lie and steal from someone over and over and over for years (since high school) if you're afraid of them. Especially if you live with them and depend on them for everything because you refuse to work.

If the defense tries to place the blame on Casey's fear of Cindy for not reporting her missing---good luck. That will never fly with a jury. The jury can hear with their own ears the way Casey talks to her entire family. They are afraid of her, not the other way around. Just because Casey says she is afraid of her mother doesn't make it true.

I've been saying for a long time that Cindy has forgiven Casey for murdering Caylee and in her own warped mind she feels that since she forgives Casey that everyone should just let Casey come home and let Cindy punish Casey the way she sees fit. I seriously believe that this is how Cindy thinks.

I think the best punishment for both of these women would be to lock them both up in the same cell for 23 hours a day. I don't think either one of them would last 24 hours before killing each other. I can hear Casey already "GET OUT OF MY CELL."

Casey is referring to one of Cindy's many TV appearances and Cindy explains she did a few interviews so she's not sure which one Casey saw. Casey is furious because Cindy apparently told the media she didn't know what Casey's involvement was in Caylee's disappearance. When Casey yells at her for saying anything, Cindy tells Casey, "Well, I don't know what your involvement is, sweetheart." (quote from memory). It's all at the very beginning of the tape.

It's too bad Cindy didn't stick with her first few realizations!!

The call from jail was July 17, 2008, the day after KC was arrested, IIRC. So Cindy's "cameo" probably would have been on the local nightly news on the 16th. I've looked for a clip but haven't been able to find one. Most of the tv stations like Fox Orlando, WFTV and WESH either don't keep clips online for that long or you search for "Caylee Anthony" and get 2000 hits. Too hard for me to find, but I'd like to see it too. I keep trying every now and then when news in the case gets slow.

I always thought that by saying this, CA was being defensive and deferring all responsibility and blame for Caylee's disappearance to KC. That was the initial thought that came to mind for me when I read that.

Regarding the above, the post CuriousTwo commented on, claims that CA stated that Caylee had been away from KC since June 14, 2008.

Wow, very interesting. Then how does CA explain her visit to see her dad up in Mt. Dora with Caylee on June 15, 2008. Then on June 16, GA supposedly saw both KC and Caylee walk out the door.

It seems that all of the inconsistencies are just tossed to the side. That really, really bothers me.

So, around July 18th Cindy hadn't kicked into high protective gear with Casey yet, but by the bond hearing Caylee was on the back burner and Casey was priority number one. Or at least that's the way I see it from the old videos. That bond hearing (Yuri's testimony about smell in car being decomposition, seeing Casey in shackles and jail outfit) got her going and she hasn't come up for air since.
