what is this location of the web camera? Looks like tents and things. Is this the TES meeting place?

I don't believe this xanax theory. Have any of you tasted xanax? It is the most gross pill and it cannot be disguised. Caylee would never eat a xanax pill or drink anything it had been melted in. It is a very disgusting tasting drug.

Ahhh, a kindred spirit that agrees with my harebrained theory! LOL....I think we are onto something with the zanax though!

this never occured to me. but there was a case long ago where a group of people gave their kids 'bingo drugs' that knocked them out for well over 24 hours and they could just take off and go get drunk. one of the kids died. wish i could remember what kind of drugs they were.

Thats what I have always thought, that Zanny the Nanny was actually Casey giving Caylee Xanax and then leaving her in the car, or wherever to sleep....I really think thats what happened to Caylee, Casey gave her xanax, left her in the car (trunk?) and probably started partying and forgot about Caylee, until it was too late and Caylee had already passed away, then Casey went into psychotic overload.....

Oh, wow. I hadn't thought about that. It does make you wonder.

You know, last night on Nancy Grace, she referenced that JB doesn't even respond to the state, he just ignores completely. I agree that something is being "calculated" to the fullest in regards to "bad representation". Is JB such a snake that he knows they are sunk already and he would actually play "the incompetent attorney" role? I mean, that reeks of the lowest character of lawyer that there can be. So on appeal, some really big guns come in to defend her, probably with JB still sitting at the table, kind of like Robert Kardashian when knew he had to get help for O.J. Simpson by bringing in Johnnie Cochran Jr., Robert Shapiro Barry Scheck, and F. Lee Bailey. Barry Scheck...wow!...procedural errors and DNA specialists. We've come a long way since 1994 and THAT trial. However, if she were to be acquitted because of procedural errors or inconclusive DNA results on any level, we all know what the outcome would be. I know there are some really big names who would take this case to make their names bigger... a whole new generation of Schecks...and the money wouldn't matter, neither would the hate mail for them taking Casey's case. Publicity is what would matter and book deals, movies, interviews. That's enough to make me want to hurl my breakfast. She may be completely guilty in the eyes of the public but it only counts when it comes down to the "12" sitting in that jury box and reasonable doubt. Some things never change.

I really don't think JB is setting himself up for an ineffective assistance of counsel claim later, after CA is CONVICTED of crimes. These post-conviction claims are often made, but very, very rarely succeed. Appellate courts have rejected ineffective assistance claims when the defense attorney slept through parts of the trial. Besides, if he just messed up on the deadline or forgot, etc., and CA wants the deal, there is a simple remedy now. All she needs to do is speak up.

ok, If Casey had Caylee in the trunk of her car while she was sleeping with Tony, where would her car be parked that no one could see in the trunk????

She was old enough to swallow it with water, no?

I take Xanax and I just take it like a vitamin. But then again, she was only two so maybe that's too young to take it with water without chewing.

Another point, if "everyone" has the opinion that "Casey didn't take the deal" JB may have further proof of his client being painted in a negative light by the local community and may bolster his desire for change of venue.

I agree..it's one more way of being coy IMO.

A two or 3 year old cannot swallow a pill. It would have to be a liquid medicine AND this drug cannot be prescribed for a child. Even just putting it in your mouth it tastes awful even if you could swallow it. I do not believe Caylee could swallow a xanax pill nor would she do so willingly.

On a 2nd note, where is that camera and why is it stuck?

Who's the guy holding Caylee in that pic on the myspace page?

I think an important statement needs to be made.

Casey didn't "turn down the deal" - as in saying, literally, "Thanks but no thanks" via her lawyer.

According to WFTV and an email by the State Attorney's Office, they didn't hear ANYTHING (yea or ney) from the defense attorney, so the offer expired on it's own.

I just heard that on Fox. And once again, that "authorities have concluded that Caylee is 'likely' dead based on 'scientific information'."

I have the utmost respect for LE, but this is beginning to sound like a broken record. The vague information, use of the words "likely, probably", plus alluding to having additional evidence they won't discuss suggests to me that the forensic evidence isn't conclusive enough and this was possibly a ruse they set up through the media in the hopes that she'd cooperate with an immunity deal. She didn't, so what's next?

This case is driving me crazy...

Don't shoot me, but .... for the record, legally speaking, it wouldn't be in CA's best interest to accept a deal like that. If she told them what she knows, i.e., where Caylee is located, she would be charged with a homicide (just my opinion). So, from a defense standpoint, what exactly would she have to gain from telling them anything? She hasn't so far, so why would she now? My point is, what exactly would benefit her in accepting this deal and telling the truth?

Maybe Casey was hoping for "one more day!"

Sorry! But this case is making me crazy! I can't wait for the trial...I REALLY hope the State/LE has a few smoking guns they have yet to reveal.

I was totlly amazed to hear that mr baez didn't even return an e-mail of any kind! Geez, it's not like they were some ramdom musings.:waitasec:

imo

Unlike other cases where I did not have confidence in LE for one reason or another, I believe the investigators in this case are doing a stellar job. They aren't perfect - no one is - but they certainly can not be faulted for not giving away more info on the status of their investigation. This is a multi-task investigation involving many areas of discovery (e.g. computer forensics, DNA, cell phone/ping records, following up on leads generated through the tip line or by email, etc.). As frustrating as it is not knowing what LE knows (or doesn't know) I think we can at least be confident that nobody wants to solve this case more than the detectives and investigators working it.

Edited to add: The one thing I would like to know is if the investigators are monitoring the Anthony's to ensure they are turning over all tips they personally/privately receive like the Modesto PD did in the Scott Peterson case.

[IIRC, the Anthony's provided their home number on their website and the flyer - if that's not correct, please let me know.]

Not sure I follow. Unless it was a hatchback, you can't see in the trunk at all looking in the backseat.

<<Either that or she gave Caylee Xanax so she'd go down for a nap and she could have some downtime>>

Interesting theory. I've always kind of thought that's what the "flurry of calls" could have been regarding, too. Something bad happened and she tried to call the parents, but to no avail.

One thing Casey would gain is Caylee being decently laid to rest.

The state has enough to prove negligent homicide with or without Casey's help. Finding Caylee won't make anything worse for Casey if what happened was an accident.

Unless Caylee's body shows some trauma that would prove it couldn't have been an accident.
