I don't think she's pregnant, but just overweight...........eating all those snack foods, she's got a pudgy look to her now.

I'm not trying to be snarky, but I'm not clear on why people seem to care if she has gained weight (or if her nose is bigger or if her ears are pointier, etc). Am I missing something?

I can't speak for anyone else. I don't care about her nose or ears. My interest in her weight is because I have feared that she is pregnant, due to how promiscuous and manipulative and risk-taking she is.

ETA: I agree - I don't think she's pregnant, and I'm very relieved.

What has JB done??? Any investigations??? Geez louise! Each time we go to court for this stuff they say the same thing to JB!

Almost everything he asked for today except pictures, etc. would normally be covered in depositions. He is trying to avoid the expense of depositions or something because normally they would depose all of the witnesses rather than asking for written statements of their polygraph tests.

This is insane. Is Baez just cheap, or lazy, or down right stupid?

I heard "change of venue" and also something about a picture. Judge Strickland was supposed to turn off his microphone when attorneys approach the bench, but he must have forgotten.

Sure seems like a lot of whinning and complaining from JB!! Is this normal for this type of case? (I know this ISN'T a normal case) New at this...sleuthing.

A lot about trials is saying things without saying them. Others are right, JB is trying to show that SA is picking on his poor little client and withholding evidence. Later he might try to prove misconduct.

SA is trying to see what JB's level of competence is (I'm being generous). They are also trying to see what his trial strategy will be.

It is a lot of dance in the early stages.

The judge sits in the middle hearing the motions. If it comes down to any least little possibility that looks like KC might be in the right, he will rule for JB. But he is also observing the attorneys and their strengths and weaknesses. And if he decides he doesn't like the attorney it can (not suppose to but does) can affect the trial. The reason he is so careful to rule for the defendent is so that any conviction can't be overturned later on.

At the very first whisper by JB just before the judge put his hand on the microphone I thought I heard the word "venue".

Her shackles made this great jangly noise as she entered and exited. I loved that part.

It's still disturbing that with all the discussion of photos of Caylee's remains, she didn't shed so much as a single tear.

She looked annoyed to me at times and at other times her face was completely expressionless.

I did have that theory a few months ago, but after seeing her today it is clear that she is not preg.
