When asked by a reporter when the case will change from looking for an "alive" Haleigh to a deceased one, the older gent said they are looking for her alive and will continue to do so as they have no reason not to (or something like that...cannot remember the exact wording he used). He tried to sound very hopeful and gave no idication either way.Sadly, I agree. Someone (Seriously Searching?) reported that they said the real story would be the "recovery". Usually that means remains, imo. Poor little girl.
Well I 'm not sure and would have to do some digging but wouldn't that mean that someone is on the run and they don't want to have to deal with jurisdictions. What I don't understand is FBI would not take care of any jurisdictional problems.
Oh, thought does Marshall trump Sheriff?
Would that be for out of state tips? Or would they be used locally?
I am not familiar with the Federal Marshalls..

He did use the term "recovery" tho. Rescue is what I think he should have said if he wanted to come across as all that hopeful, imo.
I've looked at this the other day. Didn't seen anything JUMP out at me tho. It is quite interesting. For such a small populated area they have 3,476 outstanding warrants in this county. I just think this place is a "den of thieves" type place - KWIM?

Good points, but one most likely wouldn't need to lawyer up if the child were alive.I'll just throw in here my thoughts........I think we discussed this here before before it became a thread... Naturally every LE team handles things differently from one agency to another.
If Misty is being cooperative, its because they are making her and frankly the entire family feel comfortable... I can see this being their stragetgy in getting bits & pieces from them. The comment about not wanting to embarress the family, makes me think...they are doing all they can to keep tempers down so no one lawyers up. Even without any money for attorneys....."if" they (LE) start throwing out info to the press about the famly or anyones involvement with Halieghs disappearence....(basically pointing fingers, which is why they arent ruling anyone out.) ...you better beleive the Lawyers will come out of the woodworks and LE will not get anymore info out of anyone. We can already see how these families corral around each other....Even if they are guilty as sin, they are blood and no one messes with blood.
Lets all hope that this is their strategy and it plays out well to find Haleigh.
Their word recovery in their language encompasses finding Haleigh alive or deceased.
I have actually worked with the U. S. Marshall's. I have escorted many Federal inmates to and from the Marshall's Office and been in court with them. I have a very high regard for them. And they are scared of nothing.
I dont see any brain surgeons or rocket scientists here, I think we are making a fairly straightforward case complicated. It is frustrating when LE wont release information, even the poor Grandmother of this child isnt getting any. There is a reason. The reason is not that they think some cracked out pedophile is snatching kids, the reason IMO is the perpetrator is right under everyones nose, not in Tennessee or Michigan..
Any insight as to why they would be called in on this case?Their word recovery in their language encompasses finding Haleigh alive or deceased.

Yes 5200 in town of Satsuma - I think these warrants are for the whole county though. Just still seems like a lot.Woo...Isn't there only @5200 people in the town? Any idea how large of an area?
Sounds like just the group of people to find Haleigh....thanks for the info.

Did I hear the female reporter right? She said the search from the SO is East of Haleigh's neighborhood from where the other search is being conducted.
