I agree with you about the xanax. IMO if Annie would give Xanax to SD, not only would she give it to KC, but she would also give it to any of her other friends as well... she was probably a source for Xanax IMO. That's why she's so defensive. That part of her depo had me bothered, particularly when I saw part of her attorney's head move in on the camera getting ready to interject (if necessary).

If one hasn't had a prescriptioon for a drug since 2005 I see no reason to get so upset about the statements KC made. However, if one is obtaining a drug through other channels (trying to word this carefully), then I can see a reason for getting very upset at being exposed. I AM NOT saying this happened, but I'm just sayin'...

I have a RX for Xanax and if one of my friends said I gave them some or stated they could get some from me, I would be pizzed! I have anxiety problems and Xanax has helped so much. I get pretty ticked off when I hear about people abusing it when there are many people that actually need it.

I completly understand that Annie would be upset. Not only has it been made very public that she had/has panic attacts but she is being questioned about illegal activities (giving someone else an RX is illegal).

Unfortunately, JMHO!!!!-I don't PERSONALLY find AD to be a credible witness...

I have to agree with you. WHY, as she says, would AD NOT want to know anything from KC??? I would think Caylee would be priority! I find this very strange.

I'm with ya. To be accused of a crime by a "friend" if you did not actually commit such a crime? I'd be pissed too. It is a federal offense that can land you in prison for a long time, longer than Casey's check stealing and writing games.

I'm also just not seeing that Annie would have had to get Xanax from an illegal source, doctors hand it out like it's candy.

I know it seems like she was so forthcoming but I am on the line certainly with the statements she made one was that she stopped casey because she didn't want to know yet she said the was no Nanny, Never heard of one and Casey never said anything about the nanny yet she had a gut feeling that someone was watching Caylee she just didn't know who "they" that is just one trip do I need to put the rest in here

Sounds about like Casey with her gut feeling she is close to home

Been mostly lurking, but I was thinking about this, because on the face of it, it would seem like the last thing on earth AD would want to do.
I am unsure of exactly what played out when she met up with George and Cindy, but think about this for a sec. It obviously had to be a tad uncomfortable for her, due to all the info that had come out. Maybe she was just having a superficial conversation with the A's, and made a comment about a personal issue, and really needing KC for support, but her reason for the comment was just to let the A's know she still thought of KC as a friend, just because they are KC's parents, and she was trying to be nice, never dreaming that the next words out of the A's mouths are, "C'mon, we'll take you to her!"
Just imagine it: Annie says something polite to the A's, trying to be supportive when the world is turning against them, and they jump on her remark. How could she have gracefully gotten out of it? Maybe she never dreamed she would wind up face to face with a friend who turned out to be a liar and possibly killed her child.
Again, I am not saying this is what happened, but merely another way to look at someone's seemingly inexplicable actions.
As always, moo

Very interesting. Thanks for opening up my mind. I can see this happening.

Argh. According to your link it was the female operator talking. Boy, do I feel like a dolt.
My first few posts and I'm already wrong!! Sorry to waste time, lol.

(Goes back into lurking :bang:)

Not a waste of time, Reagan. It was interesting to listen to it again. And by the way, WELCOME! :blowkiss:

(Snip Respect diz39) ;)

Yeah...I needed this perspective too...because what I have running around in my head is Annies statement: "We hung out and watched a movie."

What?!! But...with what you have said here...I am thinking about what I hate the most about the "adult world"...people are way trained to "ignore the pink elephant in the room" and to say that the emperor is wearing beautiful new clothes. Just like George in his interviews or Casey in her texting...people have this face they put on and it seems during crisis the mask gets even harder. Even though Caylee is missing...pictures of Annie with that baby right in the girls rooms...Annie does not trip out on this family. And because of the post I snipped...I do understand.

I understand that there are very few people with true courage that was in Caylee's life. Only Christina(?) said...cried out..."oh, Casey if anything has happened to Caylee I will just die!" I understand this person. I am dramatic and passionate...I do not understand:

"just hanging out and watching a movie." I am sure that is what they did...and it seems AD showed how much Caylee meant to her...she didn't want to know or get involved...I wonder if they had popcorn while they watched the movie?

Maybe AD really thought to know too much was dangerous for the Anthonys and she wasn't thinking about herself? Still...I don't think I could watch a movie. I know I could not. If she got roped into going to see Casey why not say so, at least in the depo? Statement analysis: we know what you tell us...Annie had her own problems that she wanted to talk to Casey about...but Annie knows how much Casey lied to her...

No, no no...no one wants to go talk to someone that they know lied and deceived them so much. Annie went there to see Casey in a bad way...yeah, I'm sorry but the AD in the depo is not the real one...the one in the pictures making the "devil" sign is...imo.

Maybe I will change my mind again...no. I don't like what she has said or done as far as her depo. I would figure her testimony in court may be different? We will see...

If you look at the emails demanding answers to 100 questions she sent Tony, you'll see the truth. She wanted to know every detail!
My Grandma used to tell me, "Honey when you hear that soft quiet little voice, your intuition.....LISTEN TO IT, THAT IS GOD TALKING TO YOU!!" As a child I had no idea what Nanna was trying to teach me half the time, but in my adult life I live by a lot of her little Nannaisms, and much like the detectives told George," Just let your common sense be your guide. If your visceral gut reaction says you don't believe it, trust that." It is a system that works for Nanna and me. LOL

(Respectfully Snipped The World According) :D

Thank you for saying that about "that soft quiet little voice"...yes I live by my intuition. My intuition is not nasty or mean...I can be as everyone can...but my intuition is just telling me the truth. Sometimes I do have to make sure my own "crap" is not what is coloring me...but nine times out of ten that voice is right on for me too.

I have not read AD texts that you speak of...she is speaking to Tony huh? And wants to know everything...is that before or after she saw Casey at the house and watched a movie?

I would need to know as much as I could. I wouldn't blame anyone involved for wanting to know every dirty detail. That's human nature and they have every right because they were in this family's life. Then...not to mention...the family might be trying to pin this on one of them.

So...why wouldn't she want to know. "I just didn't want to know" Aggg!:banghead:

I think that sentence is a bigger lie than even "zanny the nanny took her" because Casey IS zanny the nanny. When I rerun AD saying that over and over again in the depo...my lie meter is not little and quiet it screams: that is a lie! :liar:

So. What was she doing there that day? Why was she there? What was really talked about? We may never know...

I think for a girl to be close friends with Casey, there had to be a little quirk in the girl's personality that enabled Casey to lie and manipulate. Maybe Annie knew that most of what Casey said was lies but never called her on them and just let them go, and this allowed them to have a shallow relationship that was just based on going out and having good times. Or maybe the fact that they had grown apart was due to AD discovering Casey's lies. It does seem that since she was working with Cindy to find answers and hounding Tony that she did in fact want to know what had happened, she probably just knew she wouldn't hear the truth from Casey.

But really, to be BFF with Casey, one would probably either have to not care that she was a liar (because she was fun to be around or attracted the boys) or be naive and a little gullible like AH...

Back on page 7 of this thread (and I haven´t read any further yet, so forgive me if I am writing about stuff that has already been discussed in the thread), Mendara writes:

So all the while little Caylee is missing - possibly in the hands of some crazed killer and Annie is upset because they took KC from her and is upset about HER OWN problems? And this is normal?

Then she goes to see KC to talk abotu HER OWN ISSUES

I agree. That is very strange. I can´t be sure, but I have a feeling her issues had to do with Xanax. In my opinion that is why it was so important for her to talk to KC.
I think there might have been deception on Annie´s part during the deposition in connection with the brief (too brief imo) talk about the Xanax. As far as I remember she shot a quick glance towards her left at what I assume was her counsel. She grimaced and pushed her lips tightly together right after she had answered a question concerning the Xanax.

In an audio of a lengthy police interview, she breaks down in tears right after being confronted with the Xanax. It was quite a bit into the interview, and she had been quite calm up until then.

Furthermore I (as some others do) think that Zani/Zanny the Nanny = Xanax. It isn´t completely out there since Zanny IS street-slang for Xanax. KC might, just MIGHT have used pills to sedate poor little Klee when she was in need of a sitter.

I don´t know how much Annie knows and I don´t want to accuse her of anything. And of course I am speculating. But I find it plausible that she might have handed KC a Xanax or two (or more) on occasion. She admits to having given another friend a pill. And KC´s mail also supports the possibility - even though she lies most of the time, at least SOMETIMES she must´ve said something truthful.
And Annie might have put two and two together - and if what I am theorizing is remotely accurate, it must be EXTREMELY difficult for her to live with. I could understand why she didn´t want to know when KC started talking.

Casey saying she can get Xanax from Annie to me only indicates that she knew Annie had a prescription. This is Casey we are talking about, Annie wouldn't have to give her anything, Casey has a documented history of taking what she wants from her friends.

Well said!

I have always thought Annie's "visit" with Casey was about the Zanax story. Whether she actually ever gave Casey any, I don't know, but I believe she was concerned enough to go talk to Casey about it when she was home. That e-mail to Tony sounded very much like questions Cindy wanted to ask. I wouldn't be surprised if Cindy was sitting right there beside her when she typed the questions out.

Her testimony at trial will be different...The SA will give her immunity for the Xanax and subsequent distribution to friends. (she was not a "dealer") JMHO

That is so very true. She likely knew that AD had the script.....and "assumed" she could lift a few from the bottle. FWIW....xanax, lorazepam, ambien, and others are very popular. I have a prescription for 2 of those and I can't tell you how often I get asked for one. I am sorry but when my insurance copay is $50 on one of em I am not only going to say no from an economic standpoint, but I AM NOT going down for someone elses habit. NO WAY!!

Good point, But I wonder if AD may have given her some, and at AD's "visit," she and KC agreed that AD would be mad/insulted and totally deny this to police. What did KC care if AD conflicted her on this? She had lied directly to LE herself, why not confuse the matter more?

I doubt she knows anything important enough for them to be willing to drop charges for "Distributing controlled substances". But you could very well be right!

I don't mean to be picky (I think it's important people reading know that LE does not fool around with the Controlled substance act) but in the eyes of the law she would indeed be considered a "dealer". It is a felony and she could spend quite a lot of time in prison over it (not that I think she was selling or giving Casey her pills, cuz I don't think that.).

Here is some info if anyone is interested..

http://www.getsmartaboutdrugs.com/identify/what_is_distribution_whats_drug_trafficking.html

"Distribution basically means that a person is selling, furnishing or delivering a controlled substance. Distribution charges are often brought against people who try to sell drugs to an undercover officer or a confidential informant. Distributing controlled substances, including marijuana, is a Class B felony, which carries a maximum sentence of two to twenty years and a maximum fine of $10,000. .... "
