WOW! I think Jeff Ashton just threw down the gauntlet and I think it is crystal clear why the State is seeking the death penalty. I am not a death penalty proponent, but his argument is compelling - to say the least.

Ashton- reminds anyone listening KC presumed innocent. Caylee old enough to remove tape so killer must have prepared something to stop her/restrain her from doing so. (Camera panned to KC crying with AL comforting her with hand on arm)

AL - tape may not have had anything to do with Caylee's death. Says case became weaker when could not determine how Caylee died (Ashoton denied).

When Ashton starting talking about the duct tape, I heard KC say "make him stop and AL say "I can't". I also saw GA and CA get up and leave the courtroom.
