This case is a cry for the DP and more than likely will be an example for those who are opposed to it to reconsider their view, once the horrific details of what she did to her daughter are presented at her trial.

Caylee was murdered and disposed of in the most heinous manor imaginable to a murderer...and when the person that committed this murder IS proven to her her Mother, I think allot of folks will be of the opinion that the needle is too good for her.

I only wish Caylee's spirit can come down and look Casey right n her evil eyes when she is taking her last breath, the way Casey looked into the innocent, terrified eyes of her only baby daughter when she killed her.

I agree. I don't even wish the DP for my brother's murderer, but this angel was helpless. :(

AL said that the death penality was reservered for the "worst of the worst". I just can't imagine there being a worse murderer than a mother taking the life of her own two-year-old, then dumping it in the woods. Injail she begged for her boyfriends phone number, not for the return of her kidnapped daughter. There is no love like the love that a child has for its mother. There is no worse crime than a mother killing her baby.

Can I get an Amen!!??

I'm wondering if this delay in ruling is a sign of a heavily researched ruling. Since the other's were denied with one sentence, how frequently do Judges quote/cite law in their answers/rulings? Judge SS said he thought he would rule Fri or early this week . . . . just curious if his docket got too full or he has spent enormous amounts of time researching.

Maybe the ruling on the DP is taking longer because the judge is looking for a way to word it so that he won't have to listen to the other dozen or so motions (on the same subject) she promised him in advance. Kinda like nipping it in the bud before she really gets her rant on (before the trial even takes place).

I'm hoping he is cleverly devising a stern response, so that he can just interrupt her oral arguments and say, please refer to my decision on the first motion (such as take this up to a higher authority or wait until we get a verdict), motion denied!motion denied!motion denied! times a dozen on the topic of the constitutionality of the DP.

Wishful thinking, I know.....but I'm still anxious to hear what he has to say in his response.

He might be searching other death penalty cases to see if any precedents have been set (in other states) by removing the death penalty asked for by the State before trial. Again, to head off A. Lyons and her multiple motions. And yes, I am also anxious about that one and the lawyer visits.

He might surprise me and just deny it simply because it is untimely, but I imagine he will write a careful opinion, given that the defense is trying to make a record for a future appeal on constitutional grounds. It can take a while to do the research and write the final opinion, and the judge is also handling a lot of other matters.

OOooHHHH, Hope this is true:

WESH say that Judge Strickland will review videos and decide whether they can be released!

Sounds like we may get to see video of Casey and Baez.

I dont think they can release what she talks about with her lawyers. I think he means more of her family visit and such but I could be wrong:)

This just in on WFTV
(see updates for today)

Judge Strickland said that Casey should not get special treatment in the jail.

Fox 35 just did a blurb and said the same thing as WESH. There is no audio, just video, so it does not violate A/C privilege?

I thought the lawyer recordings were just video, not audio?

Just on WESH, more at 5...

Motion to stop jail recordings of Baez and Casey: DENIED

Always one step ahead. Thanks so much for always being right there to let us know these things.

No special treatment for the not so special girl. JS has spoken! :gavel:

Ya know, I agree with AL. I think Casey does need the support of her family...and the truth is...absolutely NO ONE is preventing her from getting it!!
