Well if the lawyers are working for free they me a bit distracted working other cases there going to get paid for. IMO this is one of the reasons they brought on the guy that was supposed to retire as he does not need the money not getting paid wont hurt him.

I want to know when JS is going to release the findings PUBLICALLY! He made it crystal clear yesterday that it needed to be disclosed in OPEN COURT how the money had been spend to date. Well, lets see the accounting!

I sure hope I don't have to get po'd with JS now. I am sick of being po'd with people.

As a Florida tax payer who will now be helping foot the bill for KC's defense, I feel like we are entitled to see how the money was previously spent! SPILL IT NOW!

Will KC now be constrained from selling any further items/story/receiving royalties/etc? I realize JB stated there were no further offers on the table but what about months from now? Will anything she does 'earn' be seized?

I assume that if it ever appears that she is no longer indigent, the State could ask for the determination to be reviewed in light of new circumstances.

So KC gets her money. And the financial details were disclosed privately to Judge S, just as the defense wanted yesterday.

What ticked me off was that $152,500 "missing money" was disclosed privately to JS. I wanted to see JB explain ALL of it openly. He spent it, he should account for it publicly, not behind closed doors. :furious:

Well, personally, I think it's all BS!!! As a Florida taxpayer myself.. it disgusts me to no end. So she won't be able to file an appeal based on her finances and inability to pay... there will be many, many other appeals, don't worry.

I would have preferred JS demand she exhaust any and all means whatsoever, to get every penny she could BEFORE going to plan B, the easier way out. I, too, would like to see what was disclosed to JS about their finances. This whole circus just makes me SICK, SICK, SICK.

I'm a Florida resident, but live very close to the Alabama State Line. 10 minutes west, and about 35 minutes if I drive east along the coast. I plan to do a lot of my shopping over in Alabama (to avoid paying Florida tax). Just kidding....well, sort of!

Ya'll....this is really making me sick! SICK I tell you! This is a girl who murdered her precious toddler, SOLD pictures of her precious toddler for boo-koos amount of money, whose parents were flown all over the country for interviews (and expensive dinners picked up by major networks, whose parents went on a vacation cruise, etc... and now we the tax payers are footing the bill for Casey's defense. This just doesn't seem right!!! I'm so mad right now thinking about it that I can find the words to express myself accurately!

True, but I wonder if Casey and Baez will still try to peddle pictures of Caylee to the media? Or maybe they're saving them for a book later. There is no doubt in my mind that Cindy and George will write a book when this is all said and done. They're prolly working on it now. Makes me so ill!

The indigent status had to be granted. JB does not HAVE to remain on the case - which is what I'm thinking. Disney/ABC has made a statement. JB submitted his "accounting". There will be repercussions about all this. Regardless, KC will get her day in court.

I'm just hoping now of the rest of her posse will not be with her.

Me thinks JB torpedoed and sunk his boat yesterday for all to see.

I didn't know that ABC made a statement...would love to read it....could you post a link?

in a one-page order, Strickland, wrote that he has reviewed Anthony's financial paperwork and concluded that she truly is indigent.

His order requires the state to pay all costs associated with her defense except for lawyer fees. That would include such major ticket items as experts, investigators and her lawyers' travel expenses. She has lawyers from Chicago and New York as well as Kissimmee and Orlando.

You are undoubtedly correct but don't worry. It will sell about as well as OJ's did, IMO.

Why do I have to pay, my husband, my children, the good people of the State of Florida? We did not create this 3 ring circus.

As a resident of Florida I want a full accounting including where the remaining balance went. Since I feel as though I own shares in this circus, then I think I'm entitled to it.

I could almost bet you that KC's parents and brother rec'd the remaining balance.

:banghead: I was really hoping that we would see the break down of the monies and how it was spent. I figured that JS would grant Casey her "indigent" status, I am OK with that.
I would not want that to come back and back fire. So, the state pays for her...but in the long run, it's really about Justice for Caylee. That is priceless.

:waitasec: I am wondering, will we ever see the itemized statements that Baez turned over? I thought it would take him a few days, but he turned them over ASAP, almost like he already seen it coming and was ready. Now, what if there is some time of ethical conflict? We would not know right away IMO. What ever happen to the last bar investigation? I thought it was JS himself that contacted the bar?

I sure hope that if there is/was anything shady going on that it is exposed before this case gets to trial. :furious:
